I just wanted to take some time to say thank you to the Developers of this fantastic game. I realized a lot of times feedback or criticism of some elements may detract from the heartfelt appreciation I, and others, may have failed to express. This game is wonderful. From the artwork, to the concept of rotating MP maps to explore new end-game play and offer variety, to the meticulously crafted singleplayer maps and thousands of items. Rarely has a game so hooked me, and inspired me to competitively play the multiplayer and farm singleplayer FOR FUN. The community here is wonderful as well. Whether it be a willingness to help new players or to post constructively/passionately about things they believe, to a willingness to share their multiplayer builds (even if it costs them rating since others can mimic strategies or develop counters), I just find myself loving this game and the people here. Truly this is a labor of love for the developers, and I consider this one of the best games I've ever played. I wanted to take time to simply offer the feedback that whatever path you guys choose to take the game, I'm sure it will continue to be wonderful. It always helps (at least me) to hear that I've done a good job in something, or my efforts are appreciated, so I just wanted to let you guys and girls know that I, and I know others, appreciate you.
Seconded wholeheartedly. I think it worth mentioning, too, that the "feedback or criticism" signal something positive: the devs have created a game that we care about. They've made something that we get worked up over. It's an accomplishment. Rock on!
One of the great things about Card Hunter is that it wholeheartedly and uncompromisingly embraces turn-based play with no real-time elements. It knows there is absolutely no need to water it down, "enhance" it or make it more "palatable" or "mass market". It knows turn-based strategy is The Business. It's where the good things happen. It's where the magic lives.
Also, I love the graphics. I love the little pumpkin eyes that lit up, I love the reflected lights on the lit-up map icons and all the other little details that say this game was created out of love and passion.
This really is quite a unique game and really scratches all the right itches for me. Ill be happy to support this game for a long time assuming new stuff keeps getting added .
Card Hunter reminds me of HeroQuest in many ways. I wonder if the folks at Blu Manchu played this game in their younger years? It honestly was my first RPG-esque experience at the tender age of 5, and Card Hunter brings me back to those days, of course with lots of extra goodies, and no torturous cousins skewing dice rolls! Ah, the good 'ol days...
Thanks for the positive feedback everyone. It helps get us through our day to know that our hard work is not all for naught! It's important to hear about problems and issues but it's also nice to take time out and just get some love as well
