I've been noticing that the two White Star quests give a lot more treasure drops throughout the adventure than anything else. Is this a thing for other adventures and item types?
Not really, its just that the White Star adventure itself (if you read the story) is about treasures in caves etc. So they made treasure drops as part of loot to fit in with the storyline.
From that perspective, the gladiatorial arena adventures talk about being offered weapons in between rounds. Unfortunately weapons are plentiful enough that you probably wouldn't notice the difference without doing some stats.
very very intersting thread (two veries to emphasize my interst ). I assumed that all loot has randomly the same chance of appearing, I guess it's true what they say about assumptions though. would be real nice if I knew the various chances of various drops on each individual adventure. will definitely follow this thread to see if anyone has further info.

I know Raid on Ommlet always gives Pickled Herring after the first time but Kobold Encampment doesn't.
Cool, that's probably everything aside from the battle loot tables themselves: Raid on Ommlet has 100% chance of getting something from the battle-specific loot table which is then presumably a pickled herring. Pity though, the system is there but only the white star quests do anything with it. Unless anyone's ever found anything rarer than pickled herring from Raid on Ommlet, it looks like the battle loot tables list specific items. Which means without exquisite care, the white star quests would have a better or worse rarity weighting than other quests.
