The f1 key does not work on my laptop. This could be for a couple reasons... 1. Laptop's fn key + f1/? combination, that's intended as the equivalient of f1, is not probably functioning with the browser window for the game. 2. Somewhat likely possibility that the key was intentionally disabled on this laptop at some point in the past in order to prevent unwanted help popups. In any case, I had found a bug earlier (already reported, involving unattackable characters trapped within a wall of stone block due to blooming ground expansion...) and I was going through the motion of doing a proper bug request and found myself unable to get the log in the requested way. So please add a secondary method by which the console can be opened.
You already have the option. Start > All programs > Accessories > Ease of Access > on-screen keyboard use the Fn key on the bottom right to get the F1 to appear.
On-screen keyboard actually doesn't seem to work either. Even if it did, it's a bit obtuse. An alternate method just seems like a good idea for situations like this. Might I recommend the tilde (~) as in old quake style? Or CTRL-ALT-Tilde like what seems to be used for newer versions?
Following up. The on-screen keyboard does work after all. I didn't expect it to open up at the bottom so I missed it. Edit: More follow up... It opens at the bottom. But I cannot make it fullscreen. And if pressing f1 a 3rd time is intended to close it, that is not working either. 2nd Edit: Final followup. I don't know why it wasn't working before. But it is now. Weird.
