One of the AI characters attacked me with a step-bash, and their Wimpy trait apparently triggered twice for the attack. Here's a quote from the log: 'Anskak' is the name of the Kobold avenger. The attack he used was Lunging Bash. I can't tell you how much damage it did though, because it was blocked.

After many games, it happened again. Here's a screenshot: Notice that they the Kobold has wimpy attached, and also somehow has wimpy as a revealed card in its hand. Here's an excerpt from the console log: ... AHHH! I was just about to open the console to get that excerpt, but I was disconnected. (Because it is this problematic build.) Sorry about that. I encountered this issue also - same thing, where the kobold managed to have a Wimpy attached and a Wimpy in his hand. I know what's happening. When a group of minions draws a trait, the AI has to choose which one gets it. And there is code that won't let the AI (or you) put all handicaps on the same minion (I've seen this when playing with the scenario editor). And in your case, the group is down to one member, so there's no one else to give it to.
Aha, I think you've hit it! The only other weird thing is that it triggers while in the hand at all, but I think Vulnerable used to have the in-hand / attached rule on it. Wimpy probably inherited that behavior, but it's not noted as such since it's a condition that's never supposed to happen.
I'm not sure if you've already found the source of the bug, but I just saw it happen again and this time I was able to get the log for it, finally. The sitation is consistent with what Kalin and CapnCurry have guessed. ie. One of the Wimpy cards is triggering as an attachment, and the other is triggering from the hand; and the enemy with this double-wimpy thing is the last remaining unit of a group. I can reproduce this in a custom scenario: I had 2x Kobold Avenger and 6x Ig-Gabig (for Inspiration), killed one avenger, then inspired the other to draw a Wimpy while he still had one attached, and the game let him move without playing the second Wimpy.
