This isn't the first time I've seen this happen, and another problem is that new players think this is an RPG, so they sell everything they're not currently using (the tutorial encourages this attitude). But this a collectible game, and selling your extra items will cripple you later. My suggestion: Don't allow players to sell items in the current shops. Create a Pawn Shop that's just for selling items. Pawn Shop allows you to buy your items back for the same price you sold it for (or double as is standard in RPGs) Pawn Shop never resets; you can come back months later to buy your stuff back. This allows players to sell all their treasures and show them off at the same time.

I was coming here with the attitude of *sigh* just wait a day and the clutter will be gone... but now I'm sold yes please lets have this i like to eat my cake and keep it in a glass box for people to look at!
