Can someone clear up movement for me?

So, according to what I have read and observed, moving through a terrain square that is adjacent to an enemy immediately ends your move.
If this is the case, why are imps not bound by this convention - I have repeatedly pinned one against the board edge / impassable terrain, and they have simply danced around me in their next turn and pranced off across the board. Am I missing something?

    Cheers.

They may have cards with the free move keyword. Free Move: "You are not required to stop when moving next to an enemy, into difficult terrain or for any other reason."

Hmmm. I don't remember seeing anything other than 'Run' cards come up, do Imp's get free moves then? I'm only on the Ruby Demon Portal adventure at the moment.

If the wiki information on monsters is up-to-date then none of the enemies in Ruby Demon Portal should have cards with Free Move. If you spot it again could you take a screenshot? Then we can check to see if you're missing anything or whether it's a bug; you are correct that moving through a square adjacent to an enemy should immediately end the move.

Some Imps have the card Scuttle which gives a Free Move and some have Teleport Self which makes all moves Teleports.

Yep, the little bastards are tough to pin down. It's worth it to bring a few more movement cards when dealing with them, as well as step attack and stabs for your warrior and/or priest.

I think an interesting effect that could be added would be temporary removal of the zone of control, maybe as a side effect of a class of attacks. Call it "Daze" or "Blind" or something like that. I can certainly see this as something fun for rogues when they get added...a handful of sand in the eyes seems like a very roguey thing to do.

Also remember that if there is any route to the tile without crossing your zone of control, they can spend more move to get somewhere you thought was safely blocked.

If I am E and you are X, I can move to A so long as there is an available space at H for me to bypass your zone of control on the tile between A and E.

I do however suspect Scuttle and Teleport Self, rather than slightly tricky path selection.

Ah, the "Vicious Thrust Backstab", great tactic against enemies that block (like monkeys).
