Reproduced many times. Spark Generator gets attached, does not add 2 extra damage to lightning attacks, although it triggers. Sorcerous Bolt is an arcane attack, not electrical. It causes the attacks to be harder to block, which is the second parameter of the Spark Generator. You're not the first (or the last) to have misunderstood this, I'm sure. Not a bug, though.
It is possible that all the attacks you are talking about are actually arcane attacks. Sorcerous Bolt, for example, is arcane and not electrical. So too, are all the Zaps. In fact, I think all the electrical attacks contain the word "Spark" in their name. With that said I definitely think that this is confusing, and I think there is a thread somewhere gathering suggestions for making the difference between arcane and electrical attacks more apparent.
this is more confusing due to the text logs. The console log shows it activates on these skills... even the chat log shows these skills in effect. They are not applying damage at all but obviously they alos shouldn't be activating.
Spark Generator: "Add 2 damage to Electrical Attacks. Subtract 3 from Block rolls against Arcane attacks you play." You have Spark Generator attached and play a card: If it is an attack and is Electrical (blue artwork, e.g. Spark): Spark Generator activates, attack deals +2 damage. If it is an attack and is Arcane (purple artwork, e.g. Sorcerous Bolt): Spark Generator activates, attack gains Hard to Block 3. If it is any other card: Spark Generator does not activate. To the best of my knowledge both the card and the text logs are working correctly.
That being said, neither SPARK GENERATOR nor SPARK INDUCTOR are adding their damage bonus to Spark, Short Spark, Long Spark, or Deadly Spark. I've tried them all and seen no damage increases. Therefore, no they are NOT working correctly.
I just tested and its working as intended. Ufdidrakk shoots Mr. Jingles with a mighty spark Ufdidrakk inducts sparks Mr. Jingles took 8 Electrical damage. I had Spark Inductor attached and Mighty Spark correctly dealt 7+1 damage. Ufdidrakk fires a long spark at Bzot Ufdidrakk inducts sparks Bzot took 3 Electrical damage. I had Spark Inductor attached and Long Spark correctly dealt 2+1 damage. Can you post your battle log ? Maybe you had some bad attachments ?
