I currently think dodge is overpowered. You can't do anything about it unless your playing a ice wizard (which everyone does and is incredibly boring) and encumber the opponent. It is neither an armour card nor a block card so can't be removed by war cry or any anti armour attacks.

So any opponent with it basically gains a 50% chance of avoiding all melee hits for the entire game, I haven't had a chance to see what happens when you have two of them. I would suggest a increase up to 5+ would make a massive difference.

Back them into a corner so they can't get out of range (that's the downside of it not being a block). Path Of Knives is also good at countering non-standard movements.

Or use 2-range attacks while next to the player, or attack from behind, or use spells that force discards, or....

OK may have misrepresented what I meant, im talking about it being dodge being impossible to deal with unless you have a wizard. There arn't enough cards available to warriors / priests to allow more tactical battles. Is there any cards but Wavering Faith (that no one uses), Staggering Blow (really rare) and Savage Curse (not really something that you want to have to use) that can be used by priests or warriors to deal with dodge.

The forcing them into a corner is virtually impossible since encumber became the go to effect people want, most decks have plenty of team runs / push and if you playing someone who leaves themselves open to being cornered then your probably not too worried about dodge.

Cards that effected enemy movement for warriors or priest would be good addition. I think a card that attached a clumsy trait/effect to an enemy character would make some really interested tactics.

As they said using range 2 attacks like spears in melee will make the dodge not work. Other than that i don't know but honestly i never had problems with dodge even when my friend was running 3x dodge shields.

Hamstring attack would be interesting for warriors. If you attack from behind, attach encumber effect.

Maybe Holy Shackles attack for Priests, does no damage, but prevents target from moving away from you (can still move to any of the other 7 tiles around you, but not away). Can be used as a semi-immobile on your own guys if you anticipate a WW/WWE, otherwise it is a move-taunt.

How does oak roots work then because halt just prevents you playing movement cards. Since Dodge is triggered does that mean its rolled but the you can't actually move or does the fact that its triggered and not actively played mean you can still move? Anyone tried it out?

Pretty certain you can still move. I know you can move when halted when Hard To Pin Down triggers.

Not certain if they are still in the game but there at least used to be halt attacks on spears and some hilebards(spellcheck) for warriors.

When you take a comment out of context it does seem like bulls hit but i was talking about a specific situation. Warriors basically can move and hit people the don't have any class specific cards that do any of the the sort of tactical things that a mage or to a lesser extent a priest can do. I like Xienwolfs ideas for hamstring and holy shackles, especially if the damage on melee cards where reduced to stop them becoming overpowered. NB. Jotun please add a bit more to the conversation next time or you might come across a bit trollish. :)
