I won a game recently where a guy was kicked for swearing. When i got back to the lobby, i tried it out because i didn't know such a thing existed. Indeed, after a few choice words (****'d out, of course) i got kicked. As i was getting kicked, a new battle started and i was forced to forfeit, adding injury to insult. I approve of the moderator kick, and even the possibility of an auto-lose, but you might want to give a pop-up warning on their first and second offenses. I assume that when it goes live they will receive a short ban (that increases each time they get kicked) and not just be able to log right back in like i did? Edit...this seems more like feedback than a bug now that i'm done with it, but i don't see how to delete it and repost over there. Sorry.
Looking at the settings we have, it looks like you're *supposed* to be receiving 3 warnings before you get kicked, which means there *is* a bug - that we aren't displaying the warning message.
Sorry, this is a feature of our software engine that we didn't realise was in place. It will probably change since we have our own reporting system now, introduced in the last build.
I don't see any benefit to this system - if we're censoring text already then there's no harm caused and no reason to apply any penalty. I think I'd prefer that we just disable it.
No, I got kicked in a game with no warnings just now. It is not disabled and it's pretty dumb to randomly kick someone for something that's censored with absolutely no warning.
I don't really see it detracting anything from the game as the old flamer troll lives in me and getting kicked out might just help the manners but at the same time as you say you already have your own thing in place.
The filter is still in place, but it shouldn't kick you automatically for having your text get filtered.
