[Suggestion] Sell beta keys for a small fee

    Opt in beta could come with a amount of pizza worth the money, et c. That being said, I don't believe this will work as they've promised to get everyone in beta - and cutting in line would piss people off.

    How about some free invites/keys for people who have already purchased pizza? It doesn't solve a new player entry chances if they don't have friends who are currently playing but it does promote some other things like
    • incentive to buy pizza
    • creates positive promotion, a good opinion and introduction from a friend holds a lot more weight than a review
    • maintains high retention rate, playing with a friend is a lot more fun than playing alone
    • easy to implement? Shouldn't be too hard to filter all current paying players to send them key(s)
    I know this might be a little late in the game for this suggestion. BMC has stated a couple of times things will be ramping up quite a bit. Not sure about their time table with regards to open beta/release.

    Charging for the beta of a free to play game is done constantly these days. Also there's a reason my OP suggested that the paid for beta keys were accompanied by pizza in the value of whatever the price of the key was decided to be.
