Indeed. Areas of water named seas are usually defined by their bordering land masses. We've seen two main continents revealed in the latest developer diary so we can now figure out the minimum number of land masses with a few calculations. The revealed map contains what appears to be 3-4 seas. That suggests that at LEAST two more continents are yet to be revealed.

But what does that tell us? Well, in Card Hunter, land masses contain most of the adventure locations. Thus, we can assume that the additional two land masses predicted, equal the number of planned expansions for Card Hunter. That Blue Manchu have such a clear idea of how many expansions they will be releasing suggests that they're already working on them. Thus, we can further conclude that work on the initial Card Hunter release is already complete and that for some undoubtedly sinister motive, probably concerning how best to suck every last dollar out of their players, they are refusing to release the game. We only know one beast that malicious. Clearly when signing the contracts to allow Blue Manchu to use the images of these star marine monsters in Card Hunter the Slippogriff snuck in a clause that means he now has a controlling interest in Blue Manchu until such time that he can be bought out. Until then, it's quite obvious that the Slippogriff will simply mandate that Blue Manchu rig any fight between these epic sea monsters such that the Slippogriff would win.

A second, and, in my opinion, highly unlikely, explanation for the number of seas in the developer diary is that Ben simply picked the first cool number that came to mind.

I think your feverish conspiracy theory started blurring somewhere between "sinister planned expansion motives" and "Slippogriff."

Clearly, this indicates mind control on the part of Slippogriff, keeping you from revealing the TRUE reason for the release schedule. This leads to suspicion about the alleged role of Slippogriff in the company. Is it truly just an art spot? Or is Slippogriff the, as it were, "secret weapon" of Blue Manchu, a game designer or programmer of such astounding skill as to be able to dictate the release schedule?

I vote for game designer, as no way in [Cardhuntria-specific version of the afterlife] can you program with those flippers.
