Hi! I have noticed that the hints/tips coming before each battle flash by within seconds. I rarely have time to finish reading them before the battle roars into action. I tried slowing down animation all the way in the menu, but it does not seem to impact the load time or the hint display. Of course slowing down the load time for the battle would be silly. I'm trying to decide what the least obtrusive way to provide the hints would be. I would put in a toggle to stop the hints and leave them up once the battle starts with a button to close/disable further tips. That way beginners can read everything at their leisure and more experienced players can just turn off the tips. It's a relatively minor issue to a fantastic game, but seeing something that might be useful that I can't read is frustrating!
Adding a "click to start" after every load could solve this. I think it'd be helpful seeing the hints, they're pretty useful.
True, but that would slow down the load time for folks that just wanted to get to the battle even after they no longer needed any hints on how to play.
No, it won't slow load times - it just requires you to click your screen. Not too much effort I think, also - this could probably be made to be turned off in the settings somehow.
+1 for this, I desperately want to read the hints and never get a chance. A "hit any key (or click)" to continue would be great though I understand that can also be frustrating. What about showing the hints in game? There is enough real estate to do that it seems without obstructing the game board. Also: fantastic game you did an amazing job here. Absolutely love the D&D feel.
