Everyone is now apparently afk-ing after they lose a match?

    5 out of 9 games today, players have apparently give up, then run the timer down to 3 seconds before passing. Three different players too. This seems to be a new occurrence in multiplayer, and one that I think needs to be addressed as soon as possible, as it will likely just ruin the game for many players. It's worse than it sounds having to wait around 17ish minutes per match, and if you leave for too long and do something else then you will afk out and get a loss instead. 3 different players have done it so far, always early in the game, Gwizz and CecilAlucard are 2 of them, and have both done it multiple times.
    The only thing i can think of to fix this would be an additional turn timer which would also result in a loss when expired, maybe around 1 minute per turn.
    Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

    There's a continuing thread about this, with general consensus that there should be an inactivity timer in PvP to stop this sort of thing.

    Just one reason I don't want much to do with multiplayer.

    Gwizz AFK'd out on me yesterday for the first 12 minutes of a game. He had the initial move and nothing happened. I sat there and waited and he did come back eventually and apologized. So maybe he is playing at work or something else, who knows. Poobeard you however, got matched up against me 5 or 6 times in a row and after one close loss, you proceeded to immediately forfeit each of those following games, which has the bad side effect of bumping my ranking much higher than is deserved.
     
  5. I've only run into this problem once, but it is very annoying.
    I will probably wait for this to be resolved before I start recording any multiplayer for my let's play series

    I'm thinking of adding a per-turn timer to stop this. It would auto-pass if you don't make a play within the per-turn time limit.

    I've started another thread to solicit your thoughts on this.
