Hi, I've just joined beta. I like to use a 1024x768 resolution but this game doesn't seem to be adjusted for that. Even when I switch to 1152x864 it's still not big enough. This game won't be adjusted for smaller resolutions?? Even if I could go bigger I wouldn't want to. Some of us like using the smaller resolutions.
What's the problem at that rez? Did you try running in full-screen mode (click the button in the top right)?
Not everything fits on the screen. I only noticed it while playing on the boards. Although, I haven't played long enough(had other stuff to do) to tell if other parts of the game get cut at that resolution also. Yes.
I would prefer not to scroll the game board if at all possible. Does it fit fully at 1920 x 1080 widescreen?
^ Speaking of scrolling, I just scrolled up on the 'table' for like an hour. Geez, how big did you guys make this game? Lol. Seriously, though, not being adjusted for smaller resolutions isn't good. 1024x768 is the most common resolution. This game is pretty much unplayable for me.
It's tricky with a browser game because people play at all kinds of sizes. The game should be playable at 1024x768 but will require some scrolling.
Thank you for the response Jon. I wouldn't say that scrolling would make the game unplayable for me De4d, but it does tend to break immersion.
So every single board generated for the entire game will fit at that resolution? Are you, in fact, planning board setups so that they fit a target of 1920 x 1080? If so, you should probably tell folks that. I expected board sizes to be all over the place, with no target. People like to know "ideal specs."
Constantly scrolling is too annoying for me to play this game. I don't know how others with lower resolutions feel but I just can't play.
I'm playing on a 1024x600 netbook and don't mind the scrolling at all. The few screens where you couldn't scroll were a different matter though...
I find that 1920x1080 is too large for this game. The board seems very zoomed out, the character portraits and cards along the bottom only take up about 60% of the width of the screen, the monster portraits and cards are barely distinguishable and the tooltips are hard to read. I drop my desktop resolution to 1600x900 and the proportions seem to fit perfectly but you have to put up with aliased edges. I think the art should be designed for 1920x1080. Can you not have a few different sizes of art, or have it scale down automatically?
This is the same trouble I am having. My monitor is 1920 x 1080 native, but nothing scales, so although you don't have to scroll the board, everything is just too small to read and the game is not enjoyable. I still haven't settled on a good resolution. I'm making do with 1280 x 768 at the moment, which requires not that much scrolling. I'd rather have scrolling than unreadable cards and tooltips.
