interesting ideas, though pay to play is not worth it, Unholy wellspring has draw 2 cards merely for 3 damage, consider that a victory star is worth half a character, which is at least 8-9 damage even with an elf wizard. Drawing 3 or 4 cards for victory star would work though. For monsters I guess it's also fine.
