On the test server: Gingrich Yurr passed. RAWR moved. Ready to Strike damaged RAWR. RAWR took 6 Slashing damage. RAWR moved. Ready to Strike damaged RAWR. RAWR took 6 Slashing damage. RAWR moved. Ready to Strike damaged RAWR. RAWR took 6 Slashing damage. RAWR moved. Ready to Strike damaged RAWR. RAWR took 6 Slashing damage. RAWR moved. Ready to Strike damaged RAWR. RAWR took 6 Slashing damage. RAWR moved. Ready to Strike damaged RAWR. RAWR took 3 Slashing damage. RAWR died. Gingrich Yurr scored 2 points. RAWR discarded Vengeance. RAWR discarded Walk. RAWR discarded Disorienting Block. Long story short, Ready to strike prevented me from landing my step attack on a character due to Vengeance wanting me to move. I think I just found an awesome way to counter a build.
I'll add that this was done accidentally in the test server. No actual cats were harmed in the making of this comedy. Also, looks like someone else found this out already.
Yep, anything that moves the character works, including bashing them against a wall and Disorienting Block. Yes. The dice kept rolling high.
Sometimes I think rinco's banter by itself could qualify for a third of this thread's posts. (Context: Right after a match he spectated... Actually, lots of spectators -- I lost track of everybody eventually -- but I suppose that's to be expected vs a 1700er... I won 6-4, I think, by total HP KO with all three of mine still alive, two barely. Also, rinco had hit #1 MP player this day...) Makes sense that he's a Lenbear. In an earlier match, (SRC ranked spar between Gingrich and Gandalf with a couple more SRC spectators,) rinco had come in, too. After some of his not-trolling-but-trolling during that match, I called him a dishonorary member of ours. Lol. $E^ b
Walking Carpets is experimenting with new spam techniques to help them scare off the enemy. (that's 12 re-entries, but there are more after I took the screenshot)
both a funny moment and an awesome moment barrels league, I run my usual 1-1-1 full elves, my opponent has an elven wiz. Warrior ready to get hit from the wiz with Shimmering Aura, Quick Reactions AND Catch Arrow. Also a Howl and a Dash. Vamp priest positioned on one of the barrels near the center to have the range 2 on the VP, wizard somewhere on the back. priest's position caused flash flood to be played, followed by him moving close to the newly made water tiles. I smoke both elven wiz' vision and his water tiles. My warrior, after being hit by something from a warrior, I think? Used Howl, got Howl. Used Howl, got Mad Dog. Mad Dog drew a... Dodge. Fully armed with all these non-attacking cards I rushed forward 1 tile away from the wizard. "gg" Moral of the story: bluffing is OP
A variant of BVD's Clash of Geomancy pic, all thanks to a lucky first round draw of Wall of Stone and Blooming Ground. (I am blue)
Certainly one of the most brutal opening combos possible in Geo, though there are some counters. My favorite is to counter by playing another blooming ground... and fill in the rest of the vps
Oh I wish I had the screen shot for this, was a few days ago when lf was at the shrine. On the first map of the Shrine of the Astral Guardians I was an Elf Warrior with Reliable Mail and we had passed around the first round on a loot fairy run, the next turn I got triple Brutal Charge'd all of them at full distance and die by 1 hp (30 dmg - 6(2x3) from reliable mail) and I was laughing my head off because I've never seen that happen before.
In a Quick Draw match, an ennemy elf warrior attempted a Lunging Hack on my human warrior. Unfotunately for him, my warrior was Ready To Strike... Eargalear moved. Ready to Strike damaged Eargalear. Eargalear took 6 Slashing damage. Eargalear thrusts at Lorslaoli Lorslaoli and disorients the attacker! Lunging Hack was cancelled. Eargalear moved. Ready to Strike damaged Eargalear. Eargalear took 6 Slashing damage. Lorslaoli moved. Lorslaoli discarded Disorienting Block. Lorslaoli bashes Eargalear Bruiser added 2 damage. Eargalear took 8 Crushing damage. Eargalear moved. Ready to Strike damaged Eargalear. Eargalear took 5 Slashing damage. Eargalear died. Fanturluche scored 2 points. Eargalear discarded Able Stab. Eargalear discarded Parry. Eargalear discarded Nimble Strike. Lorslaoli moved.
I wish I had a screenshot to capture the majesty of this moment. The opponent placed a nice, bubbling, warm lava lake under my feet. BARGE! Chat: WHA?!?!?!??!?!?!? HOW?!!?!?!!?!
This was a while ago, but I think it counts. The enemy had Negative Energy Being as a random mutation. Even though they didn't have any defenses revealed, at the end of the round I shot them with Boiling Armor. While they didn't have armor, they blocked—with Absorbing Block.
