Server downtime Wed 31 Aug 23:00 GMT

    The server will be down on Wed 31 Aug at 23:00 GMT, potentially for several hours, as we do some large scale maintenance work. Apologies for the inconvenience.

    Some local times:
    • US (PST): Wed 31 Aug 4pm
    • US (EST): Wed 31 Aug 7pm
    • Europe (CET): Thu 1 Sep 1am
    • Australia (AEST): Thu 1 Sep 9am

    I request more of these server downtime events! It's exciting to race against the clock and finish the Loot Fairy just before the server goes down. :p

    Is there any place where I can see when the servers are back up without having to relaunch the game every few minutes?

    Usually once it's up Jon will post a new thread here (and on Steam) explaining what's new in this build.

    Hopefully there's nothing new on the server once that piece is done, aside from some new server hardware. And (as should be obvious), the forums are back up on *their* new hardware. Let us know if you see anything broken!

    Yeah, figured those DB errors were from moving hardware/servers around.

    Interesting you guys are upgrading.

    Any reason you guys don't keep your FB/Twitter up to date with these kinds of things, or just don't have a social media guy there? =P

    Jon occasionally casts the "summon j-wiz" spell for help with server work, but it's mostly him. :)

    Just got the API services started up again. Its log directory permissions got changed, probably during a system update, so it refused to start up.
