What is the rule on damage maximums relating to distance for arcane items? I never got a clear idea; it is less than or equal to 2 damage for anything for any distance of substance?

 

I think so? There may be other exceptions, but aside from a lone Ember Burst, the only damage above 2 I can think of is Big Zap.

 

I guess I'm basically trying to ask: is Jumpspark okay on an arcane item?

Arcing Spark almost definitely not, in my estimation - it breaks the rule as I know it. Jumpspark technically works, but doesn't appear on any existing Arcane Items, which makes it theoretically legal but risky, in my mind.

 

I think not as they can easily be bumped to 5 damaged with traits. But 2 damage frost or fire cards are likely safe.

 

Are we allowed to resubmit our entry from the time monster cards were allowed? *checks* AA3

 

He didn't say you couldn't, but it is risky.

 

Maybe for a future AA everyone has to resubmit an item someone else submitted previously.

 

I do not like that idea at this time.

Actually... Are we allowed to submit something we submitted, but then changed the submission into something different? I have an item in mind that would fit the criteria rather nicely, but it's not something I ended up submitting earlier.

Does anyone know the old ratings of Tongue Lash, Tongue Storm, Tongue Grab before the AA contest changed them? Please use the card database formatting to answer this question.

 

I can't recall the exact rarities and certainly can't put them in format, but I have a recollection that they were all somewhere between paper and bronze rating. It's just a hunch though, and I wouldn't bet hard money on it.

 

Check old versions of the wiki pages for those cards through their edit history?

 

The wiki sadly doesn't properly show the ratings of cards.

 

If it's important, the devs might be able to provide you with an archive copy. Or @Kalin might have one he downloaded in the time between the AotA release and the release of Tasty, Tasty Staff. I have a few on my hard drive, but none from that period.
