still, the timer should be shortened to fast mode and have a slow mode. I wish that this would happen sooner. Please, if you have any common sense and decency in your head, add a fast mode timer as default. its NOT a good way to show off the game with chess players.

I agree with both of you. A friend of mine and I both love to play chess. But we are very different players. Sometime we play blitz and he will easily defeat me and at other times we play an hour limit for each and I will easily defeat him. He is very good in playing fast, making in a few seconds relativly good decisions, because he has a good intuitive understanding of game situations. I am better in thinking some turns in advance and prepare a trap in some turns. This are totally different ways to play, I can enjoy both and the same is true for Card Hunter. Sometimes I love to play the fast aggressive games in constructed leagues, like Triple Duel. Or even faster in Ooze Ball. Sometimes I enjoy playing a tight match in ranked MP with both players beeing in the tank.

I totally agree with you and will always report players doing that. I have had in one of the last days an opponent, who could not win in quick draw with the cards he had, which I could see because of an Obvious Maneuver. But he still played every single card. For that ocassions I have a video ready on the other screen. If he does that again and other players also report him, he will finally be banned from MP for a while.

    Edit:
Maybe a closer to Card Hunter analogy is, that at some times I like to speed farm. Just click the Firestorms and get that loot. And at other time I like to play Coc, where you most often have to get most value from every card in order to win.

also, the ocmputer thing is not fixable. The main issue is the one gig of memory, it was from a church who didn't know much about computers and was filled with viruses, I have been meaning to upgrade but new computers are pricey and I only use google chrome because firefox runs slower and IE sucks. I personally dispise google as a company for collecting information about me and wish that there was something to make that illegal

also, midori seems neat but I don't know if I can trust it, I mean.....I am a cautious person by nature, haven't heard of midori before and I don't know if its going to just fill me with viruses as a LOLtrolled prank or if its actually a heartfelt offer.

I don't mind waiting 2.5 minutes for the win, if you don't move in that time you deserve a loss for wasting my time, I play to play not do whatever the people who stall are doing be that, raging, crying, smashing computer......if you got to take a piss or phone call just say in chat, most people know real life happens and accept it, I just have no mercy for people who stall for no reason but avoid the coming loss. I have talked a lot of people into playing this game and when I show someone multiplayer for the first time I want to show them an exciting game, not show them how many people that stall in this game there are.....

I hate that I get penalized for surrendering against slow opponents, it wouldn't really be a big deal if I could just surrender and move on quickly to a faster opponent but since I have fifteen minutes average to play its really not cool that I have to wait longer cause my opponent can't think faster than a brick. By the time my turn rolls around against a slow player I have my next eight moves planned and alt plans. Im not a tactical person by any stretch, just I have gamemastered for D&D and well... NPCs need to be planned as well.

I have had experience with all these things listed above and agree with everything other than that we should get so worked up over it.

There's no need to be insulting just because someone doesn't play to your speed. I do understand the frustration, I generally play fairly quickly (provided I'm not having internet issues, which is the cause of a lot of players playing slowly {I do try to avoid playing when the game isn't running smoothly, but it happens in the middle of games}) and get a bit bored against very slow opponents, but if they want to think carefully about their moves, that's their choice. If you think they are deliberately stalling you can report them.

I have never had anyone abuse the snoozy button on me (the only times I think I've seen it used were in co-op games), and in general my opponents play at a fair pace. I think at a low rating your average games will probably take longer, as new players get to grips with the game. Some decks also require a lot more thinking to use properly.

Also worth noting is that people naturally slow down (usually) as they're losing and try to find a way out of the difficulties they're in. It should be obvious enough who's thinking about their moves and who is just stalling though.

Well, that wasn't really me insulting anyone. If I wanted to I could possibly call everyone names im more fustrated at the fact we can't seperate the fast and slow players. That would be awesome. My ability to communicate is dampened over the forums. So heres something adorable: my guinea pig in the picture is attempting to eat a lamp

  11. The issue with splitting the playerbase of such a small community is that it would increase queue times and result in poorer matchmaking. With a huge community this would also happen but the effect would be extremely small. Not so for us. Even Hearthstone has been extremely reluctant and slow to introduce anything that splits their millions of players.

well it would stop lots of complaints and irritation from many players. Even if it was just an alternate button like play ranked fast or ranked slow it would be fine. I seriously do not want to introduce this game to my friends who have less patience and focus than I do. They think that launching DDOS and malware and god knows what else is a good way to show disproval of another person. I don't really have friends though, they are just people im not as imbarassed to be seen with in public.

Yeah, I have been attempting to stay on my best behaviour and found out that I can play with slowish players just fine HOWEVER I did have a arguement with a few players as well. Meh, I will apologize first thing. Also got my first legendary today! Elemers pine staff....was somewhat disapointed it wasn't awesome as I hoped. I was hoping for hackmaster. Hackmaster is cool

Perhaps a speedplay league would be desired?
    Hypothetically speaking:
    League lasts only one hour.
Sign-ups are legal for the first 45 minutes.
Each player is allotted 5 minutes and automatically passes after one minute.
    Only small maps are used.
Last ten minutes are to allow any ongoing games to resolve themselves.

This would be set up similarly for quick draw, except each player is given 10 minutes total and is forced to choose randomly if they don't choose a card after a minute. The league as a whole would last two hours and allow sign-ups for the first half. The last 20 minutes of the league would be set aside to allow any ongoing matches to conclude.

    Again, just spit-balling here.

im quitting the game, I cannot reccomend a game so poorly made and so poorly moderated that players who take forever are allowed to get away scot free and valid, reasonable ideas are shot down because the developers are too scared to fix a massive flaw in this game, until multiplayer is set to a thirty second time limit or similiar, this game is godawful and I will be telling as many people as possible to stay away, fix it or shut it down. If I want slow games, I will go play chess, I play internet games for speed. The fact gulo gulo is a mod is sickening, most of the community is horrible and this game doesn't deserve a dime.

  17. I'm surprised you had enough time and patience to write all that. You know . . . considering.

im plenty patient, I just belive that all games should be fast, if you want to play a slow game, play one, just don't play it against me

You don't get to decide how your opponents play. They decide it themselves. That's why they're called opponents.
