I have 120 pizza from the tutorial and even though this is one of the best games I ever played, I've never been one to spend money on a video game. So what I was wondering was whether it is worth is to spend 90 pizza on unlocking the AI adventures or use my 120 pizza to buy 3 treasure hunts? What I would like to know is whether the adventures in AI are fun or disappointing, and stuff like that, because for me entertainment value is number one. (Of course, loot comes a very close second)
The AI adventures are rather unique since unlocking one of them gives you both the regular AI module where you play with a precreated party tuned to those specific modules and beating that module gives you a harder version of that module with the same maps but harder enemies you can play with your own party, meaning you effectively get 2 modules for each AI module unlocked. How much you like the regular AI modules depends on how you feel about playing with a precreated party, so in a way they are like very well-polished and balanced Mauve Manticores. Meanwhile, the hard mode AI modules are as hard as their names suggest, they require pretty tight deckbuilding and are rewarding to beat if that sort of thing is your cup of tea. I'd say that they're some of the most fun and unique modules in the game overall and would recommend them over regular treasure hunts, they really are much more humorous compared to the regular modules which are being played straight and serious.
Thank you for your swift reply. Based on what you said, I will most probably buy AI, but I would just like to clarify first, does 90 pizza unlock all the 6 modules in AI or just 3 of them like the description states?
It unlocks the 3 regular modules and you unlock the hard mode modules by beating the regular modules. So effectively it unlocks all 6 modules, yes.
Alright, I shall be buying this tomorrow when I play the game, unless the devs suddenly announce a new expansion. Thank you once again, what you said about it ticks all my boxes for something worth spending pizza on.
you also get some new 'voice' emotes. For someone like me, who is tired of hearing the same recycled sound effects over and over for each character, it is a small welcome change.
