---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Whether it be slaying deadly dragons or thwarting mechanical machinators, our heroes have braved the greatest challenges Cardhuntria has to offer- except for one.

Now, our greatest heroes must face each other, to prove once and for all, whom is the greatest adventuring party in the realm.

Are you ready to prove yourself a Champion?

Sign-Ups
SAMPLE REGISTRATION POST

• A party of 3 players is required to sign up for this event.

• Please make sure you can coordinate time-slots well with your teammates: If your party is unable to offer a reasonable selection of times it is available to play, it will be considered invalid for participation.
• Up to two substitutions may be made later on if a party member can no longer participate.

• In the circumstance that a party can no longer maintain 3 active players, the party forfeits [but the remaining one or two players may still attempt to join another active party as substitute members].

• Only the party leader should post their team's registration.
This thread should not be used to find party members or for casual discussion.

Please use this thread for all discussion and grouping.
Format & Restrictions
Format
The initial group stage will be a round-robin (all parties within the same grouping will face each other once for a single match each).

Each round-robin group will likely contain 3 to 5 parties, depending on participation count.

The top two teams of each of the round-robin group stages will then proceed to a single elimination final stage.

Restrictions
• A party must not have more than a single point of similarity between each of the characters.
For example, a party composed of a Dwarf Warrior, a Dwarf Priest, and an Elf Wizard has two Dwarves as their single point of similarity. In other words, no more than one class OR race may be duplicated in a party.
You may freely change your party setup in between matches, so long as it continues to meet the requirements of this restriction.

• Each player may only use a single legendary in their load-out.

Map Rotation
Any of the following maps have equal chances of being assigned to your match, and will be selected at the start of your match.
Party leaders that make it to the finals stage may 'strike' one map from the list per match, preventing it from being selected in that match.

Additional Rules
Standard game and chat behavior rules apply. Anyone that uses heckling, harassment, slurs, etc, in or out of a match toward other participants will be removed from the tournament.

Spectators must adhere to the wishes of the participating parties [and as such, if either party declares they don't want spectator commentary, then please respect that wish].
Engaging in disruptive behavior may cause you to be blocked, reported, or banned.

Matches

Format and Setup
• Time: Each party will have 20 minutes on their timer per match.
• Each party must have 3 active players to play a match.

• The leader of a party must have their party's load-outs [including that of any substitute party members] sent to me prior to a match's start.
The load-out may be changed once per match, so long as it is sent to me at least one day prior to the match in question and still meets load-out restrictions.
See Format, above, for load-out restrictions.
How to copy your load-out:
1. Go to multiplayer Keep.
2. Load your tournament build.
3. Hit f1 twice to open the console.
4. Type "partyanddecksbbcode" and hit enter. This copies your build to your clipboard.
5. In a private message to me, just paste and send.
• A map for the match will be announced just prior to the match, so be prepared for any of the five potential maps used by this tournament.
Logistics & Timeline

This is not a chronologically contiguous, one-day event. In order to let our entire international playerbase participate, we are using the following structure.

Round & Match Schedule:

The group stage will likely consist of 3 to 4 matches. The finals stage will likely consist of an additional 3 to 4 matches. Actual match count will depend on number of parties registered.

Matches will be scheduled in advance. They will have a referee present, who will hopefully also be recording the match. Matches will occur throughout the week, when players are available.

Coordinating Matches:

When you [as party leader] sign up, include in your post what hours your team is free for matches.
Be as specific as possible, including which days you're available to play. Be sure to give your availability windows with UTC start and end times so we can coordinate everyone on a standardized time zone. (Use this site to convert.)
Keep in mind that you'll be playing games with players all over the world. If your window of availability is too limited I may deny your registration. Once everyone is signed up, initial matches will be arranged based off the most favorable time-slots presented.

Structure of a Match:

Barring technical difficulties:
1) All players should be in the lobby at least 10 minutes before the match start time.
2) Each party leader will invite the teammates they will be playing with to their party.
3) The map for your match will be revealed.
4) After the teams confirm that they are ready, Party Leader A will create a custom game, load the selected stage, and invite Player Leader B.
5) The referee will spectate the game and enforce the rules.
6) Before the next match is scheduled, each party leader must PM me a fresh load-out, or be locked into the last loadout I received.

ROUGH TIMELINE

• Finalize group stage schedule by Monday 8/24 reset
• Finalize party load-outs by Wednesday 8/26 reset
• Finish group stage matches by Monday 9/14 reset
• Finish finals schedule by Friday 9/18 reset
• Finish finals stage with great fanfare by Monday 9/28 reset

This schedule is subject to change based on availability of players and referees:
Ideally we can actually complete rounds faster than projected.
If sign-ups and scheduling have delays, it may however take longer.

Prizes

I like saving the best for last-
But, be honest, how many of you skipped straight to this section? ;)

• Prizes are given out the end of the entire event (sorry for any lengthy delays, but it makes it a lot easier to manage!).

• Each player in a party gets the prize earned (except as follows).
• With the exception of the per-match chest, prizes require a player to have participated in at least 2 team matches to qualify for.
• The Stage 1 Completion prize requires a team to participate in all their matches. If a team is forced to resign a match due to missing members, that match will not count against any players who showed up to the match.
Main Prizes
• Per Completed Match: 1x Gold Chest

• Stage 1 (Round-Robin) Completion: 1x Epic Chest

• Stage 1 (Round-Robin) Victory: 1x additional Epic Chest

• 4th Place: 1x additional Epic Chest

• 3rd Place: 2x additional Epic Chests

• 2nd Place: 80 Pizza

• Grand Prize Winner: 150 Pizza
Bonus: You can choose to have your forum title changed to 'Champion of Cardhuntria'!

Special Prizes

• Best Named Party: Whichever team I decide has the best named party [and participates in all their matches] earns 1x Epic Chest.

• Referee: All referees will gain one epic chest, and 25 pizza slices!

Please use the appropriate thread for grouping :)
Keeping this thread clean for registration posts aside,
I also update the OP in the grouping thread with a list of actively searching members, so it's more beneficial to all involved to post there. :)

Looks like you three have enough for a party, though :D

This thread can be used to find players to team up with [or you can try finding some in-game]!

Currently not looking for more refs- I'm not going to consider adding any more until we get more teams together :)
