General chat is a mess now with so many player, guess it's time for sub chat windows, like a co-op to make easier to find another players that want to co-op.
It isn't like you didn't try though my man. I saw you paste the faq link at least 100 times this evening!
Now that we're off the main Steam capsule things should calm down a lot. It'll be interesting to see how tonight goes. But yeah, if we find ourselves with a much higher volume of world chat we'll definitely want to look into that. I just don't want to have a dozen empty channels making the server look deserted.
I don't want a dozen empty channels overflowing the edges of my laptop screen. More seriously: I trust Jon and Farbs to handle the tech end. It's up to our community to make the newcomers feel welcome, so more of them will stick around. This can especially apply to the PvP base who constantly say the player pool is too small. We PvE players also need to help our compatriots who've hit a wall in the campaign. Co-op should help a lot. Spammers and trolls are not newcomers, but unwelcome carpetbaggers. They deserve no mercy, and should be eradicated without compunction or remorse. (My 2 coppers.)
If you do not want a empty chat channel, maybe just add Campaign co-op to"Causal Games" window, so it show-up there like multiplayer co-op already do. Or a "look for Campaign co-op"/"seeking Campaign co-op team", a little similar to ranked/league, that would put player that want to co-op in a team.
I feel this forum with its FAQs and adventure discussion should cover help. But yeah, just co-op chat would be nice. Or even a co-op linking system, I've noticed a few shy players so far.
Maybe a separate chat channel for the SP side? (Ideally, make the window sizeable.) To help improve coherence, change the current World chat to MP chat. The two sides really have little in common, and SP items would get lost in the massive amount of MP chatter.
I don't think the chat should be split up -too- much, but I do think a separate co-op room is warranted.
