Hey, it looks like human civilization is continuing the slow evolution toward treating EVERY human being with dignity and respect. Cool!
I would like to point out that regardless of which way the ruling went, it is entirely possible to treat everyone with dignity and respect. And, that there are people with opinions on both sides of this topic that do so (and unfortunately people on both sides that don't).
Well denying certain subsets of people civil rights/protections is certainly not respectful toward those people. What it sounds like you are saying is that it's possible to disrespect a group and yet act with perfect civility toward members of that group? I don't think it ultimately works that way because our beliefs do influence our actions.
Thank you for identifying that my statement was unclear, what you inferred was not what I was trying to say. All I was attempting to point out was that a diversity of opinions and beliefs is not opposed to treating people with dignity and respect. That before this ruling and after the ruling, at times where there is justice in the land and at times where there is injustice in the land, regardless of what laws say or don't say, whether we see eye-to-eye on everything or not, we all can (and hopefully do) treat everyone with dignity and respect.
This is a pretty big deal where I am (San Francisco area). I have a lot of thoughts about these issues, but I think I put it best in my extremely-watered-down Facebook update this morning— "Marriage equality is a symbolic victory for all on the right side of history, but only a tangible victory for a few. Let's not forget that lgbtqia+ issues don't end at marriage, a medieval framework primarily used to divide people. Onward to more progress!"

Ohhh, that Korra/Asami one.. very nicely done. Always been a big fan of that pairing, especially once it was confirmed canon. Likewise for Uranus/Neptune, but the original cartoon censored a lot of it, and the new cartoon is.. Well, avoiding any direct comments on quality, lets just note it hasn't been well-received, and I don't regret stopping watching it. I find myself less impressed by the art style of the three non-Avatar ones you posted; So in light of that, and to offer contrast to your anime/manga style emphasis, I'm going to respond with this: How can you not appreciate that?
