I was just wondering if theres any new stuff up and coming for card hunter? Thanks for replying... qwert
Is there anywhere i can read about the new expansion? I thought they were releasing a thief character? Then i read card hunter was coming to Steam...anything you know bout that?
I believe the only official info is that it is the EttSC expansion and it releases this year No or more accurately not planned Yes same time as the expansion hits
I think i read about the thief character on their blog on the first page. Il have to buy all this again when it hits Steam.
You won't have to buy anything again when we go on Steam because it'll be the same game with the same accounts.
Just as Kong users can contact support in order to play on our main site, they'll be able to play on Steam.
No, it'll be online only. The Steam client is primarily a wrapper for the game that you play in your browser.
According to rumors expansion is almost ready and will be released after Summer Steam Sale, so possibly at the end of this month. SP mode provides you with loot, which is usable both in multiplayer and in single player mode. In order to prevent cheating, calculating what loot is generated (and adding it to your account) is server-sided.
ok thats cool....will it be better to get it on steam or just on the internet.....i could have sworn i read somewhere that a downloadable version was in the works.........cant wait for the new expansion.
As far as my knowledge goes, there's not going to be any meaningful difference between running the game in your browser and running it through steam. This is mainly a move to give CH more exposure, opening it up to additional audiences, on top of offering existing users even more ways they can enjoy the game. I mean, possibly performance will be a tad better when playing the via the steam client? I'm not at all sure, but I would assume that to be the case, as you would save a good chunk of the memory which gets eaten up by the browser, Flash-sandboxing. But I don't expect it to be super noticeable either, to be completely honest. Oh, and there's a chance you can earn steam achievements/cards when playing there? That being said, I don't see how the game would differ in any other way, given how it's the exact same game, only on a different platform, same server, same accounts and all.
There will be achievements and trading cards, at least according to our commit twitter. Also assets will be stored locally so you will usually see card & figure art faster than when playing in the browser.
