My rating with this build has been floating in 1550s for a few months now. I think it's time to share what I am doing.

    Azhrunk - Dwarf Wizard
    White Flame
    Staff Of A Million Embers
    Azgul's Orb
    Chartwell's Ring *
    Rantic's Orb Of Inner Fire
    Miligar's Dragon Tongue
    Firehide Robes
    Bertha's Big Clogs
    Perfect Toughness
    Focused Pyromancy

    * I thoughts I replaced this with a second Azgul's Orb... I guess not. Anyway, the SPR saved me many times.

Ruathar the Runesmish - Dwarf Wizard
    Blue Destruction
    Blue Destruction
    Armorbane Pendant
    Armorbane Pendant
    Armorbane Pendant
    Ring Of Appropriation
    Festive Robe
    Kelharin's Clogs
    Advanced Toughness
    Electroporter Novice

    Durkon - Dwarf Priest
    Sacrificial Axe
    Nimbus Blade
    Aegis Of The Defender
    Cintxotl Mail
    Rhood's Boots
    Shielding Token
    Shielding Token
    Skull Of Savage Iljin *
    Perfect Toughness
    Trained Cleansing

    * My rating suddenly went from 1450s to 1550s when I bought this item... hmmm

    How it works:

I have many layers of defense.

    1. Very high HP because dwarves!
    2. Running close to maximum number of Toughness. Removing one for the second Blue Destruction was difficult!
    3. Aegis Of The Defender is, to quote the new generation, hax
    4. Impenetrable Nimbus allows me to keep my guys protected both from pointy objects AND my own firestorms. Occasionally just standing on the sole victory point while topdecking Nimbuses can be game.
    5. Teleport enemies away, ideally through inconvenient walls/water.
    6. Discard their most valuable cards.
    7. When the enemies get close anyway, Team Walk away.

Most games require painstaking analysis of what's in your opponent's hand. Who needs to have their newly drawn move discarded? Do you nimbus the guy next to the enemy fighter or the combustible guy? Do you pass hoping they will move to you (and risk discarding) or move into blasting range?

Also, sometimes the support priest randomly kills people. Fiery Stab is good, and occasionally self-buffing with Savage Curse can be nice. Also, i won multiple games with people impaling themselves on Barbed Platemail.

    What this deck loses to:
exceedingly mobile warriors wielding Vibrant Pain and Troll's Ire backed up with purging cleric.

Suggestions of items to try appreciated.

    Cool Burn/Burst/Nimbus build!

Errata: Durkon is a priest (of Thor), not a wizard. Vaarsuvius would be horrified by the mere suggestion.

Pretty nice build really hard to suggest anything as this is a well balanced build. The only items I would consider changing is the Priest's armor. I think it is a great armor not sure if it what this build needs, even if Barbed Platemail won you a match. One which you might think about is Mageslayer Mail The Shimmering is good for FS and the Entangling roots is nice to stop a jumpy warrior in his tracks. But probably don't need or want Wild Run. This would add a token for Divine Skill, but Trained Cleansing is such a steal it is rare I want to replace, although I like Advanced Piety for the greater heal, the extra trait and altruism's ability to add an extra draw or two. But this means no purge. If you can swap to get one more yellow on your fire mage I would consider a red flame for the white flame (if you have 1), but that would likely mean swapping out Rantic's for a different burning arcane item and I know having that 1 armor destruction is a nice insurance in the back pocket even if it doesn't always draw when you need it.

Of course I don't like using so much FS so I might not be the right person.

I used to have Vampire's Blade, but swapped it out. While Vulnerable can be negated by Toughness/Nimbus, Loner cannot (well at least it uses up the Toughness). In addition, Pressing Bash is SO good for pushing melee dudes away and occasionally doubles up for stealing victory points.

I am open to exploring new armors. While Barbed Platemail is a pretty amazing rattlesnake card, there are other armors with good control cards. Taking out Trained Cleansing would hurt. Paying 0 tokens for a 7 point attack and purge is a great deal! Possibility of card advantage is good too though. Hmm.

I prefer Salazar's Sandals to Rhood's for non melee. You give up Rushing Aura and Wild Run for Energizing Move and Rusty armor.
I find the extra move from Energizing move to be more useful than the 1 armor from Rushing aura.

Combustible and firestorm is a personal favorite of mine, glad it's getting the respect it deserves. ;)

That's a lot armor removal. Maybe a sensate ring instead of one armor bane?

Ok, switching back to Salazar's Sandals. I can't remember why I switched them out. :)

Perhaps now that I have switched to the second blue destruction, it is indeed time to put back the Squeamish for more control. Armor removal IS important though, and often you need multiples to get through shields.

It seemed to me the Armorbanes were both for the discard and the armor removal.
I misread... thought the you had axe of dark soul but now see differently. I would consider one of the 2 curse of fragility weapons with 0 token but only because I am a max damage junky and HATE vulnerable since they changed it to 2 points. Pressing Bash is a sweet card, it really comes down to if you think vulnerable screws you or not. I am honestly amazed anyone uses vulnerable even if too many of the good 0 token human skills have one.
