More a random thought I had today but I thought there are currently very few items with off class splashes. Boiling armor on Flametouched spear for example. My thoughts were leaning towards spell sword or paladin type equipment which lets you trade raw damage on your warrior to more flexibility. Wouldn't it be nice if we had a melee weapon that had a surprise deadly spark or nimbus on it. More items like this would provide a bit more variety and allow for some less predicable party builds. Unfortunately this type of item don't fit well with the current item power token costs. Items like that I would expect to be overcosted - While Nimbus/Deadly spark is silver quality, I would say it is gold quality on a warrior weapon. There is currently no way to differentiate this other than creating a new card with a different quality but the same effect.
And my first thought is: How many such items are there, exactly? Ironwood Staff Of The Magus: Nimble Strike for wizards Greenguard Boots: Teleport Self for warriors and priests Daring Clogs: Reflexive Teleport for warriors and priests Advanced Stoutness: Absorbing Block for wizards Flametouched Spear: Boiling Armor for warriors Tlaloc's Stormplate: Grounding Plates for priests Superb Command: All Out Attack for wizards and priests Advanced Ferocity: War Cry for wizards and priests Whorl: Lifesaving Block for wizards Any others?
Mighty Bludgeon has a different value for warriors and priests, as another example. This kind of thing is everywhere. Dodge is Bronze for warriors, Silver for priests, Gold for wizards. There are very few cards that are the same value across the classes it seems.
Good to know. Was not obvious to me from the Wiki or item popups. So when are we getting more hybrid items with cross class cards!
There are also Parry/Pushback parry on staffs and the human skill with AoA (the magus staffs and staff of chask) but I think the other big ones have been covered. Thanks this reminds me i wanted to run a high damage with AoA on a human priest. NO ONE expects the AoA preist.
I was actually thinking Mighty Bludgeons... but Invigorating can be well invigorating! A couple of Healing Hands or 1 healing hand 1 Glinting Eye maybe a couple of crespin's shrouds for extra melee protection and then face 3 wiz parties for next 16 matches!
