Is encumber supposed to affect the Slide Back effect from Bashes? What if the Bash is reflected? I don't recall seeing this in the past, so it may be due to encumber changes, or maybe I've never seen a reflected bash before.
That's just the fourth reason she didn't move (after the 2 encumbers and a wall). I was just curious why encumber was triggering in the first place.
Its a code side check since an attempt to move was triggered which resulted in triggering encumbers. Due to the new calculation chains for moves, we should see it for all new reflected move effects.
I agree with Jon's assessment this is counter-intuitive, but its good info to know, was always wondering why force bolts blocked by reflective in ooze ball didn't do anything. Also a strange thing probably already noted before if someone tries ooze barge and you reflect block they get to move their character instead, also pretty counter-intuitive. Over my head I guess, but shouldn't slide back count as a unidirectional push as opposed to movement? Or does it already and this is just a mechanism of the code for reflected attacks only? A standard Bash still wouldn't be affected by the the opponent's encumberance anyway since the min is 1, but would using Force Cannon on a char affected by Frost Jolt cause them to only move back 2 ? EDIT: Nvm, just tested it and force cannon still pushes encumbered character 4, must have just been the reflecting aspect tripping me up, nothing to see here, carry on....
Thanks for testing it! I guess the rule is "encumber triggers if char A is moved by a card played by char A". Someone want to test Whirlwind played by an encumbered wizard?
