Whew, this is the big re-balancing build. If you haven't read about it yet, I suggest you start with the blog. I'm not going to list the balance changes here. In addition, there are lots of other goodies in this build including a new multiplayer mode (Quick Draw), a new Mauve Manticore and lots more. Here's the complete list (excluding the giant set of balance changes discussed on the blog): Multiplayer Starter parties renamed to premade parties. Added a multiplayer tavern. Rearranged the lobby locations a bit. Move the MP reward track timer to avoid overlapping chest store. Moved the lobby chest shops up a bit. Quick Draw Mode Implemented Quick Draw mode, available via custom games. Added Quick Draw casual scenarios, Temple Tussle and Streams of Blood Deck Builder Added main menu button to deckbuilder screens. Show item counts on items in deck builder. Show unowned item marks on items in chests and shops. Don't show item counts in figure store or tavern (they were incorrect). Fixed a client side bug where deleting and adding characters in the tavern could mess up the party composition. Custom Games Added Tags field to custom scenario panel, removed now-redundant Enforce Draw Limits and rearranged a little to fit. Cards Fixed rule text on Defender's Block. Corrected Ill-Fitting armor encumber value. New immunity keyword. Fixed zero move values on some cards. Fixed Energizing Move log text. Fixed move on surging shield block. A host of wording fixes. Scabrous Skin spelling fixed. Reworded lifesaving block rules text. Fixed Beam of Hate flavour text. Fixed rule text on Elven Trickery. Fixed rule text on Help the Weak. Added Arcane damage type to a few cards that were missing it. Improved clarity on Toughness wording Violent Spin always pushes enemies first. Premade parties Added vein drinkers, mage hunters and fire and frost premade parties. Modified Adventurers party. Removed old starter parties. News Don't try (and fail) to load the default news image. Chat Added chat notifications for players entering and leaving rooms (other than the lobby). Added team chat rooms, just using a regular chat panel for now. Added team chat panel w/ Member list and leave/disband buttons. Enabled team invite buttons Co-op Added team invitation flow and UI. Added a minor animation to the team invitation screen, because hey why not. Added user popup buttons and functionality for team invite, uninvite, leave, kick. Disabled for now. Client-side Team data, synchronized with server Friends Added basic friends list UI. Items A host of spelling fixes. Chests Ornate chests from the chest shop allocate items from levels 1 to 9 and 10 to 18. Reorgansation of the chest level range constants. Mauve Manticore Added Mauve Manticore 4. Leagues Updated Monster Hunt decks and monster health. Added two quick draw leagues (Quick Draw Temple and Quick Draw Streams). Quests "Drawback" replaced with "Handicap" in quest description. AI Added the harmful tag to firestorm. Monsters Added monster large portraits for goblin shaman, man at arms and beech sapling. Hurricane replaces the old Whirlwind in Hyperthalamus deck. Battles Fixed being allowed to enter a game with an empty party in campaign and MP. Added/reworded warnings when trying to enter a game with an empty party. Party validity check ignores quick draw format (party not used). Don't check party validity for fixed deck battles (fixed deck leagues, fixed deck custom, fixed deck adventure battles and greenfang). Valid party check requires one character in the party, not three. Tutorial Replaced Reliable Mail with Hardy Mail as first warrior armor in greenfang. Update tutorial flags re: party when adding characters via MP tavern. Remove tutorial warning prompt about no multiplayer party (it's generated when attempting to enter a game anyway). Shops More loot in Randimar's. Added the Daily Deal shop.
This mark is excellent! It makes opening chests much more exciting as now you immediately notice that "Ooh, I got something new and shiny!" It also makes checking the shops for new and interesting items much easier.
Woohoo! Also, I'm not seeing the item counts on main or test server. Edit: Didn't realize I had to hover over; works fine!
Vein Drinker's party has a Human Warrior with the Helmet, Heavy Armor and Weapon slot mixed up. Also, what happened to the item count? It was one of the most useful things .... must be coming with the Sell Excess item button right? For the record, I am not selling any of my extra Epic items, only Un/Commons and rares. *EDIT* Item count is working for me today. I had seen it on the test server before, and it looks the same now.
The item count shows up for me in the keep and shops. It makes selling excess much faster, BIG THANKS! It still took a couple of hours this time because I've been on a "Farewell Firestorm" binge. A Sell Excess button would still be very much appreciated.
The item counts show up fine for me everywhere I've looked for them (not in Cuthbert's Costumes, but who'd need them there?). Where are you not seeing them?
I guess I missed the news on the second battle of Highway Robbery being deleted and the adventure being shrunk to 3 maps. It's kind of a pity because the extra chest was good on Nudie Runs, but that's very minor.
"Oh, wait, it's a treasure". Can we get an option to turn the new icon off for treasure as it doesn't make any sense for the 99% that sells all their treasures regularly?
Thanks for the hard work! It seems lot of the issues that made me lose interest in the game have been addressed, and I look forward to testing out the changes!
[Bug] - Just played MM#4 - I beat the adventure (got the Adventure Complete Screen) but when I clicked on the "collect loot" button nothing happened, so I clicked it a couple more times and then all sudden it dumped me out on the campaign map. For a second I thought my computer may have lagged and my multi-clicks had clicked through getting and taking the loot (it did look for a split second that there might have been another screen between Adventure Complete and the Campaign map, but if there was it was too fast for me to identify), but then I realized that that had not happened because 1) I'd have to click on the open chest button which is not in the same location before I could take the loot and 2) the campaign map is still showing MM#4 as unbeaten - I have 2 blinking eyes in the cave still. So I don't know what happened.
I think this is great for chests... If you didn't already know (I only recently discovered) when in a shop, if you click the field next to reset, first it goes to usable (meaning usable by party member shown, most people know this), click it again and then it goes to new meaning only items not in your inventory are shown. It has made me into a bit of a collector grabbing every common/uncommon I don't already have on a daily basis.
It's an on-hover effect - top right of item hover info. Just making sure there's no misunderstanding of where to look for it - since I guess people would be expecting item count to show up directly on every item in the inventory. If you're still not seeing it, Jon might want to check up on it - so please confirm if able.
My bad, I guess I had it in my head that it was shown on items without hovering over from when I was on test... Works fine
Awesome stuff =D As a super tiny minor thing, whilst updating the wiki I thought the script had gone peculiar, but it seems like item 100235 "Focused Medicine" has been renamed to "l" (confirmed in game). If that's entirely intentional, ignore =D
I don't think I realized this was part of how AI viewed things. Is there information anywhere on such "tags"? I'm guessing that your emoticon indicates sarcasm. It's just a guess. Meanwhile, I'm enjoying my nice copy of l.
A sort of nervous kind, I'd been away and hadn't caught up on the planned changes, so there's always the outside chance I'm being a fool
