There seems to be a problem with inserting and removing units from party causing item exchange to sometimes disappear. I have managed to reproduce with certainty, pics below to support. Step 1: Go to Startington Keep, remove a party char and add it back. It also works if you remove 1 char and another char. (It doesnt work if you don't remove and add a char. So if you are in Startington to just swap items, this bug is not reproducible.) Step 2: Equip ANY item on the char (you just swapped into the party) by dragging it to the slot. Instead of releasing the mouse when the item card comparisons appear, release the mouse with the item before the card comparison and while the slot is still highlighted green. See below pics. Step 3: Upon release, the item slot is going to disappear and the item you want to equip is going to be attached to the mouse cursor. I found it easiest to reproduce this bug at the diagonal corners of the slot and it works everytime regardless of slot/item/char. If someone else has managed to repro using above steps, kindly drop a reply so that I know its not only me. edit: the worst part of it is that the slot is unequippable(sp?) now and when you try to move items into the slot, the graphic draw, card comparison and the layers gets fouled up with noticable lag. Im imagining errors pinging up at server. edit2: found the previous post here with the same bug. Hope it helps. Sorry, Farbs... edit3: confirmed, not limited to startington. Tested in Axes and Things as well...
Yes, I'm continuing to face this. And since it doesn't seem to have been mentioned in either thread: if you want to change just one item, you don't have to leave the keep to get a temporary reprieve from this bug. Just go to another character/tab and come back. Regrettably, the bug will then reappear if you try to change further items.
Thanks for the info! I've been trying to reproduce this bug all day, and still haven't managed it. Arg. Will keep hammering at it.
My system: ffox 18.0, win7, AFPL 11,5,502,146. I can replicate consistently even now, do you need stack debug trace from my end ? or a fraps video ? or you can PM me your test config ? which reminds me, after repeating the bug several times and going to adventure.... gameplay lagged horribly. This should be client side, memory leaks or something....restarting the browser solved this problem.
