I wanted to retire from MP at a more respectable ELO than 1300, where I had fallen while playing an elf wizard. I also dropped / bought some crazy legendary items, so I figured I would sell out, throw all the cheese together, boost myself to something respectable (1571), and then retire. It's not quite aristocat, but it's got enough orange and purple to merit the tag. Playing it is fairly straightfoward - firestorm ferrets out blocks, toughness, armor... encumber and whirls keep the enemy away... volcano and punishing bolt for the kill... thanks to team run, you can often get rid of all your visible moves, leaving the opponent thinking he's safe. It's vulnerable to opposing wizards who win the Resistant Hide lottery, or to wizards backed by a healing priest. Cool build, certainly looks effective. But with a meager total of less than 1/3 legendaries don't really think it qualifies for the vaunted "aristocat" title, as you yourself laid out : <insert obligatory picture of a fancy cat wearing tophat and monocle saying something disdainful about commoner items in an aristocat build here>
Well, I cheesed my way up to 1607, and I suppose that's where I'll retire. I also finally have a positive guild contribution. ^_^
