sealed/draft SAT 18:00 (6pm) GMT - need 3 partners

Chests purchased, sitting waiting for Christmas Saturday to be opened.

Just a quick note, if you used skiptut + empty party glitch to get to MP, you won't have access to the taverns. If you buy starter sets after you've opened your chests, they'll dump a bunch of extra items.

Y'all will have to buy several starter sets beforehand and then clear the collection. I would recommend 3x Holy Healers (DP/HP/EP), 3x Tezcal Elves (EW/EP/EM), 3x Bash Bros (HW/HW/HM), and 2x Fierce Dwarves (DW/DW/DP). Unfortunately, no starter pack contains a dwarf wizard.

 

I actually leveled up, and then bought all 27 characters at the taverns already.

No, I'm way behind on other stuff this I need to do this weekend. I'll try to spectate if I can.

If you use skiptut + empty party glitch, what exactly does that do/prevent you from doing? Can you go between campaign and MP freely? Or do you have to start in campaign and glitch into MP every time you login?
Now I'm curious. I've discovered a few things myself but I don't want to make a dozen new accounts (and email addresses) if someone else knows the answer.

 

Oh crap. I meant to ask- are we opening standard epic/magnificent chests or can we open AotA chests?

 

I went standard since they can also include AotA items but not vice versa.

Otherwise yup, regular chests.

And about the draft, I assume neoncat will open the chests and we'll use giveitem for each pick. Have you thought more about it?

 

Erm, well... if we're gonna do it normal draft style, we each open a chest and then pick one before passing left / right. How about we do that solely for the Magnificent / Epic chests, and just retain the contents of our brown chests? Hmhmhmhmh... actually, it's gonna be terrible to track and enter 4x19 items. >_<

Maybe let's just keep the contents of our own chests? (And for the next time we do this, I'll whip up a web page item generator / draft tracker.)

 

That's fine with me, it's just a casual match anyway.

 

So we only try the sealed atm? (a draft where you keep your own chests is a sealed ^^' )
Anyway, I don't know if it's really intesresting a draft with "5 cards packs". The command randomitems should do it better but I have never tried it so dunno how many items it would give.
The webpage idea sounds great!

edit: I had more in mind a Rochester draft, that's why I was assuming you (or anyone else) would open the chests.

 

I've been wondering how draft mechanics might work. The best I could come up with was an impartial non-player opening chests and listing the items, and the competitors select items by turn. The web page sounds great.
I don't know that I'll play, but you guys can be fun to watch!

 

Anyway let's just test first with a sealed to see if the pool of items will be enough for a party (or if we can lower it).

It would be a lovely pleasure to have you and Kalin with us, don't make me beg. With only one more game than in a league, we could play against each other.

 

I wouldn't want to make you beg, but I expect to crash hard in the next half hour or so. I hope there will be more of these.
