Hunt for the Vibrant Pain

If you play the level 18 campaign levels that gives you the highest chance of finding a Vibrant Pain. All levels plus and minus 3 levels, so a level 18 campaign will give you stuff from 15 to 18, while the level 17 ones will give 14 to 18. If you can get some super build down to clear the first level or two in a level 18 campaign really fast you can farm a VP faster that way.

But then again, since NS should be getting nerfed... :-P

 

The level 18s take too much longer to complete.

 

What about the Muave Manticore's? With your renown at 18 these seem to give a lot of lvl 18 items. Granted not all of them are fast, but many of them are faster than the lvl 18s.

 

I say Firestorming/Volcanoing the first 2 level of Black Plume Mountain seems pretty fast. You don't want to beat the dragon anyway so no need to bother with anything else.

 

Will give these 2 ideas a try. I had only tried firestorming first 2 battles in one other lvl 18 adventure. The one with bunch of mages. Doable but too much slower than Dungeon of the Swamp King.

 

Yeah, there are a few level 18 ones you can FS/Volcano pretty fast. Obviously not all of them, but I was farming them looking for a level 18 uncommon before they were available in the shops.

 

Sometimes I'm sad to draw a SPR.

Well, I bet VP will still be the best weapon in game. But yes, that's why I haven't been really farming lvl 17-18 adventures lately.

 

Every time I see you post in this thread I open it expecting to see you've found a VP.
Not to say you shouldn't post, but I've been getting enough disappointment from my own drops lately. Just looking for someone to have a bright spot to celebrate.

Just got my latest Lvl. 18 Legendary... not a VP but the Divine Swiss army Knife known as Brightblood Glaive.
The other problem with farming for a VP, there are 54 lvl. 18 Legendary items. I now have 5 of them.

 

Tomorrow will be 2 months since I started and I'm 10% done. But reading about the plans with the Randimar's...

 

With the changes to NS imminent, is this something you still look forward to farming, or is it now a matter of just finishing what you started for science?

EDIT: not that NS will be useless, just different from when what you had hoped to get.
