The chests available for purchase with gold are set to drop items of levels 1-8 for plain and 9-16 for ornate. Shops now cover the range of 1-18, and I think it would be good if the chests did as well.
I had the same idea just yesterday: make it chests 1-9 and 10-18. another suggestion: make a 180g chest with 20 itens
Would be nice, and save time! I bought a few hundred earlier today. Maybe add a guaranteed uncommon or better chest, 1-18 level for a bit more gold. A Silver chest?
The numbers aren't quite so symmetric, but 1-8 and 9-18 could be an option as well, to guarantee the lower chest won't have any non-weapons that require tokens. Though maybe that's less of an issue now with people getting their first token earlier...
Good point. I'd be happy either way. I knew neoncat would like this. Seems a waste for a chest shop, but what the hey.
I thought about that when they changed the shops. Then I realised I liked the current system so I decided to not suggest it. Actually I can focus the farming on high levels (17, 18, MM) and low levels (5 to 8) and buy 9-16 chests with the extra cash that Randi doesn't seem to want. So as far as I am concerned, things are fine the way they are.
"I like to spam WWs so I won't agree they should be nerfed" kind of logic? IMO would be very logical to have chests give items up to level 18 too.
I support the OP suggestion, no matter the exact final delineations of chest levels. I do recall Jon saying about a month or two ago that he'd be revisiting chest price structure, so maybe there's a shakeup coming in that department?
