I've been wondering why many of you report the treasures? Do you see some special significance in them in connection with Looty?

I should think they drop according to the normal treasure percentage which is about the same for all other than the diamond mine adventures. I don't think Looty affects them any differently than the normal items.

Everyone is of course totally free to report anything and everything they wish, I'm just curious about the motivations. I expect they might be as manifold as people's are in general. Or colonel. I always get my ranks mixed up without consulting the MP Rankings list.

 

Would be a lot less spam if you didn't report your drops at all. Loot fairy isn't special any more... And it's 15% treasures outside lvl 6.

 

I'm just thinking people do it because they saw someone do it. Then again the only thing that matters when loot drop data is concerned is rarity and how many treasures there are. (Treasures matters a lot for new players who needs gold to kick-start their collection), not which item you got.

I'm all for moving this logging into a different place, or somewhere in Flax's site. Regardless, there will still be a few post per day confirming/denying/trolling the fairy's location anyway. So it wouldn't cut down that much clutter.

Edit: We also need to mention how many adventures have special loot table like the 2 lvl 6, garnet portal etc... Btw, can we all confirm that LF will never ever spawn at a lvl 1 tutorial adventures ?

 

I don't know specifically. I thought someone might want to collect the information to determine something and that's why we were doing it. Not just the treasures, but all of it. If it's not supposed to be here as public data I can report it somewhere else. Or not at all. Doesn't matter to me either way.

I don't like making single line posts, so I try to include lots of info and wait for the double-dip before posting.

 

So last night I honestly don't think I saw the fairy pop-up on my second attempt, and tonight I definitely didn't get the pop-up. Rewards were good, but I'm not sure what's going on.

 

I've been getting it...

 

Are you trying for it twice? Honestly checked other reports last night and waited until tonight to post. Earlier today I got the pop-up on my first attempt at the Order, but not on the second. Just checking what others are seeing...

 

I saw the pop-up on my first attempt at Order as well.
About to try my second dip, will report.

Oberon, are you sure you played the level 8 Order of the Core and not the level 11 Descent to the Core or some other adventure? On the other hand you said you had the no-show two nights in a row so you'd probably not make that kind of mistake twice -- if at all.

The rarity reports are useful to get the Looty drop percentages as right as possible for the higher-rarity drops. A lot of data is needed to know what the Legendary enhanced drop rate really is. I don't know if anyone is currently compiling the data but if anyone ever will it'll be a lot easier if the records are there compared to if they aren't. I personally post them as a comforting daily ritual and shared jubilation/commiseration with the fellow Loot Fairy hunters. It's communal worship at the altar of the RNG deities.

 

I think it's as much about bragging about your drops as anything

IMPORTANT
If you are (sometimes) simply bragging about your nice drops, then the info isn't statistically correct any more. Post your loot always when you have time or don't post at all.
