This is what Flaxative said and also what you quoted: This is what that phrase means: http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/seriously?q=take+seriously#seriously__10 I take language very seriously. Whether I take also myself too seriously is for others to judge, not me.
The player organized tournaments and the pvp season are labors of love by the players to encourage the growth and health of the game. No matter how much of a competitive person you may be, these labors are the effort of your fellow players to improve what you already love also. As such, it comes off a bit disrespectful and rude to be overly critical of their efforts when they are simply trying to help out. Further, exclusive rewards are great, and an exceptional bonus provided by the devs for the huge player effort to grow their game. Whining and complaining and trash talking with the excuse of being "competitive" is additionally disrespectful to the devs who have provided these excellent free incentives. I would implore the player base to be more friendly with each other, to encourage and help uplift our fellow players, and to always try to keep in mind what we're saying, and how we're saying it. Please keep in mind the effects our words have on others. All that truly gets accomplished when we whine, complain, trash talk, and judge how things should or should not be run and brow beat organizers is that we discourage them wanting to make future efforts. We should not bite the proverbial hands that is feeding us. Please return to your regularly scheduled programming.
