It's great that we have 24 stored build slots instead of 6 now. I'm very happy about that, and don't mean to sound malcontent when I say that I want more... but I do. I want to be able to scroll up and down through the list of slots with my scroll wheel / two-finger-scroll on trackpad. Right now the only way to scroll is clicking on the scrollbar element.

I don't know how hard this would be to implement, but it would be one of those small 'quality of life' improvements that would go a long way toward making the game a smoother experience.

It's pretty much the same with scrollbar in the shops/keep, would be nice. However, in the back of my head I keep thinking this is related to flash behaviour making this harder rather than an oversight.

I know you can zoom a card with the scrolling button but I also remember Jon saying that the scrollbar was like one of the hardest thing to code in flash.

Yes, I also assume it's more a matter of difficulty than oversight. I'm still going to ask for it :)
@Jon can say no if he wants, but I think it'd be an improvement.

And yeah it'd be nice in inventory/shops as well.

@Flaxative - You want this after the 'Sell Excess' button, right? ;)

    ... yes.
Do you want me to hold off on all suggestions until the sell excess button is in the game just in case @Jon's priorities are different?

We don't even know if he wants to implement a sell excess button!

    Nope, just askin'.
There are many things that could be done to the engine to make the playing experience better, but 'Sell Excess' is the one I'm heavily advocating to come next. I will never attempt to prevent anyone from making suggestions, and I apologize if I came across that way.

Not at all - I figure we know each other well enough at this point to not assume that we're trying to shut each other down! :)

Jon was in the MP lobby after the last update. We asked about the sell excess button and he said he liked it and will log it.

WOOT! Having one will free up several hours per week for me!

Well, he didn't say he will create it and/or comment on scheduling so some caution is recommended with the celebrations :).

I'd welcome the button, myself. I haven't been able for some time to bring myself to sell excess arcane items, for example, as it's so hard labour.

I didn't have caution, I had Cuervo. :) Sometimes I just need to celebrate.
With the inventory speed enhancements I can postpone selling for a while, but eventually things get hard to find. Some of the common items had lapped the screen twice before I got around to it.

Man, Veza, I just have to say, I sure like the cut of your jib a lot.

In the shops, would it scroll the shop or your inventory?

Actually, it should be possible to scroll whichever area the mouse is over: shop, inventory, active chars, or inactive chars.

It's odd that Flash scrollbars don't "just work" with the wheel. I'll take a look and see if we can pass wheel events through to them.

Yeah, logically it would either area sensitive - or based on clicking the scrollbar to activate it.

The mousewheel works fine in scrolling the multiplayer chat.

I noticed that it never scroll the scroll bar. but it scroll the text area the mouse is over instead. For example, I can scroll the date fields in the Save/Load party.

Screenshot: I can scroll to get the missing AM part of the date field.
