Hello there, I happened upon this bug while revisiting Card Hunter after a month of absence, and decided to report it despite that it doesn't make progression impossible. The bug I'm talking about causes the animation to be sped up. After a bit of experimentation, I conclude that this bug occurs on the campaign map and during battles. I didn't double-check if this bug also occurs in multiplayer, but as I am focusing on single player only (at least thus far), I didn't believe it would matter. On the campaign map, the bug causes the icon marking my party's current location to move much faster -- faster than the sound effects that accompany it. The same thing amounts for the animations during battles. The cut-out that informs us that the "Battle Begins", the moves and attacks of character miniatures, the stars enemies drop, and the cut-out telling us if we won or lost -- all of these animate faster than the sound effects accompanying them. Now, I'm not quite sure if this is a bug or glitch, or if it has perhaps been implemented into the game alongside the very recent expansion. But I must admit, I do hope it's a bug as these fast animations makes it quite difficult for me to follow what's happening, especially when it's the enemy's turn. Thanks for your time.
Which fast animations are you referring to? There is the setting of 10 and the setting of 1000 (to access 1000, simply press F1 and type in the following: animspeed 1000).
You can animspeed the number you want, but animspeed 999999 and animspeed 999 are pretty much the same. And yes Paprika: Menu -> Options then set the animation speed to the rate you want.
Sounds and animations aren't synched. It's common for all the items in a chest to drop and then the sounds start playing a couple seconds later, especially early in a session.
Thanks for the help! I have no idea how my settings had suddenly changed, but at least I've been able to turn them back to normal speed -- or at least the speed I'm used to.
