Is Randimar's any cheaper for those with 18 renown?

I don't have the new treasure hunts, so I'm asking anyone who does: are the high level items at Randimar's any cheaper for you now?

Actually, I think I can answer my own question: a level 18 item and a level 6 item are the same price for me, so presumably the level 18 item won't come down any further.

Still, I thought I'd ask because: shouldn't it be cheaper? I thought that the idea was that the equipment gets cheaper as your renown level approaches the equipment level. So the cost of a level 18 item should go down if you go from 17 to 18 renown.

I believe item cost is capped at item lvl-2 or something similar (can't recall the exact cap number), which would mean all the current gear is capped at before our max renown level.

With 17+ renown all prices are as low as they get:
    2500 for leg.
    500 for epic
    100 for rare

All right, thanks. That is what I was expecting.

It's not so much a "cap" as a short bit of math.

1). Check how many levels the item is above your renown.
2). Multiply the price by that difference.

So if the item is one level above you, then the price is multiplied by 1. No biggie! Though it's a darn shame you don't ever get to multiply the price by 0 . . .

So that means that if a legendary item costs 2500 at max renown, if randimars stocks a level 18 legendary item for a player that just logged on for the first time and is poking around in MP curiously...

    Level 18 - Renown 0 = Multiplier 18
    Multiplier 18 X Base cost 2500 = 45000 Total cost!

And if this rookie also happens to be someone with more dollars then cents...

45000 Gold /5 Gold-Pizza exchange rate = 9000 Pizza, which is I think about half of the 50 bucks of pizza payment.

    It's $99 for 3,800 Pizza.
    9,000 Pizza = $230.

Does everyone get the same selection at Randimar's each week?

    No, it's individual.

Why is it different for everyone btw?

    'Cause why not, really?

(Edit: I don't actually know if they have a reason.)

Where would the fun in it being the same for everyone be? It would lead to samey decks, fears of missing out when having no access to the game for a week etc. Not a good idea.

About fear you are wrong, fear is the same atm.

Edit: You are still wrong about fear but I'm not trying to say it'd be better if we got the same items. It wouldn't.

I never thought about it that way, but I probably would have if I was keen on PVP competition. Makes sense.

It's true you can fear it now already, but it's a different thing to come back from a trip and hear that you weren't there when Blizkenripper's Tonsil Twister was on sale for everyone than it is to just suspect it might have been without ever knowing for sure. To me the first feels the worse option.

Also, as a concept it feels really unthematical and failed. You don't offer everyone the same guaranteed booster packs per week with a collectable card game. That would feel really strange and unnatural. And really boring.
