Buy two or three - the Nasrum's Moccasins are great, you can use them on any character, they are one of a kind (look up Enchanted Harness in the wiki), Larkin's Orb is sweet (although Farzil's Horn is cheaper, very good as well, and eventually you will find another... so up to you), and Bewlin's Baffling Bauble is a must-have for any wizard. Being able to shove 3 Short Perplexing Rays into one item slot is priceless. As far as one-of-a-kind items go you have two of them so buy them if you can!!

The moccasins are far from worth a golden token.
In theory a enchanted harness is great but in reality you have to keep it in your hand and have enough armor to get the synergy rolling and that would rarely be the case.

  4. I tend to agree, it's a great idea in theory but in practice is a little too impractical (for MP at least). I tried it myself with very mixed results. If you want a lot of armour I'd actually recommend stacking reliable armours. It's quite easy to get 2 and keep them in your hand for a guaranteed damage reduction of 4 per non-pen attack, on one occasion I actually had 3 stacked. But 2+officers harness will do you very nicely.

  5. It seems to me I always find legendary boots, but none of them are ever worth using in MP. Since we've brought up the boots, lets take a look an in-depth look at MP boots. As I see it the choices are surprisingly narrow.

For a wizard the obvious choice is Greenguard Boots. You can deviate it from this if you can find Teleport Self from another source in which case Azure Boots do well. For tokenless options I would suggest Bertha's Big Clogs and Boots Of The Foolish.

I tend to put my team move on a priest, in which case I use Salazar's Sandals with Rhood's Boots an alternative.

For a warrior who uses multiple stab attacks I would use Mouse Boots if possible with Red Jon's Boots as an alternative. For a luxury selection Dorimer's Boots fit the bill and work well when combined with Obliterating Bludgeon and Almighty Hack. Chestnut Boots is about as close as you can get for a tokenless version.

And for comedy value, here are all the legendary boots I have yet have never once slipped on: Absolem's Leather Shoes, Gzellin's Boots, Iberial's Boots, Leomunk's Kickin' Boots, Suvv's Boots Of Escape, Twipp's Energy Boots, Yancley's Boots.

Tune in next week for: Useless legendary shields!

Aren't there plenty of serviceable boots?
Black Iron Boots - good mix of mobility and armor and it carries a powerful trait, too!
Quellic's Boots - best armor boots in the game IMO
Kerrick's Steel Boots if you don't have Quellic's
Sticky Slippers - best "least extra cards" boots in the game
Goat Boots - totally fine tokenless boots
Glimmer Boots - good tokenless for a control wiz or priest who doesn't attack

How about putting this in Deck Building with "[Items] - Boots" as the topic? If we use [Items] in the topic for each item type it would make a consistent way for people to search for the info. We could do this for all item types, then post our "druthers" and "druther nots" along with our reasons. Possibly even Best of Type and Worst of Type lists for the devs to laugh at.

    Sir Veza- Agreed.
Koga- You might as well, it's a versatile weapon and having two might be cool. Good for firestorming maybe.

Now on this week's Legendary item- a useless shield which I already have. Thanks Randy!

Also: Axander's Twisted Circlet and Vira's Chain. I have other items with Short P. Ray but not for blue tokens. I'm on the fence about these two though.
The other item of note is a Voltstaff, which is about to fuel a rant.
I already have Elemer's Pine Staff, a legendary staff I have rarely used, and it's basically the same thing!
    How stupid.
Also, I have a Silver Fir Staff, which is again, practically the same thing, if not better, PLUS it only costs one token.
It's one thing if an epic/legendary/rare item exists just because there should be an item with (insert cards here) in it. But to have two or three items that are all exactly the same thing but some worse than others? It just drives me bonkers. And it happens with boots, heavy armor, shields... insanity.

    What Jade said.

The circlet is great. The chain is a matter of taste and preference, some players love the teleport.
And if you have the funds and like to collect stuff buy the staff but in my experience you will not use it.
I have four of them and also multiples of the other ones you mentioned and there are always alternatives which are more useful.

Captain Cedric's Boots are 3X better than Kelharin's Clogs IMHO. When I choose boots it's for either Flanking Move or Team Run, this boots has both.

Bleneth's Frenzy Charm is neat, I would prefer to use one over a Shuddering Relic. Worth the 2400G difference? ... Maybe not. Still, for a frenzy melee team, having one or two Unholy Frenzy in your deck isn't a bad thing!

Ok, but which of those 3 boots would you say i should replace with Captain Cedric's Boots ? My feeling is that droping the Salazar's Sandals would be the better choice, but i would like to hear other's perspective.

This week is a week of anti-magic for me :)

The Strongarm - I like it a lot, and looks like it will be a solution of my "warrior weapon tokens" problem. It will replace The Hackmaster, and, funny enough, only one card differs :D I will trade Almighty Hack for (minortoken)(majortoken)that are going to improve my warrior a lot.

Cobalt's Chalice. Would you play it? Is it worth a yellow token? All cards are very good in a wizard battle, Cone of Cold is good anywhere.
Flicker's Earcuff. The same questions. I will need Acid Spray in my Firestorm deck, as it's a great way to stop enemy warriors and strip their armor. But a yellow token?
St.Bethan's Charm. Would you buy a second one? All cards are very effective; would be great for Talented Healers if I ever decide to build them :)
Stookster's Amulet. A tokenless Firestorm item is good. But two cards are short-ranged, which is bad. Still' it's the best tokenless Firestorm item I will have (compared to Orb Of Flames and Gaudekki's Orb). What do you think?

This week I've got second copies of Bertha's Big Clogs and Crown Of Mad Eskin, so I need only the second Firehide Robes to start the experiments!

    What Kogi said.
Wizards are squishy. Firestorm wizards are squishy, charred, and really dislike having enemies at close range.
I usually prefer Gaudekki's Orb to Stookster's Amulet based upon the range of Glob Of Flame, but YMMV.
