Armor (either heavy or divine) Name: Battlefield Armor Text: When this armor reduces damage an ally may discard a card and give it to this character. Keep. Idea behind it - essentially it takes the Battlefield Training mechanic and puts it in a much more playable scenario IMO. Now when your character is getting beat upon they can pick up some help - mobility to run away, offense to fight back, more defense to sustain themselves. I can see the "oh look, my opponent's last card is a measly armor card, I'm going to go pummel them. *BAM.* Oh look, now my opponent has armor and an Obliterating Bludgeon. Oops."
Neat. I would call it Sergeant's Pauldrons/Harness. OR, I would make it into a human skill card- a boost called Cry for Help or Team Assist. As an armor card it should really reduce X damage and have X+ rolls don't ya think?
Yes of course, I assumed it would reduce damage at a certain roll, hence: I just didn't have a damage reduction amount, nor a roll value in mind specifically, mainly because where those values are set will greatly affect balance and how "expensive" the card should be so I thought I'd leave them TBD. Though as you say I could also see it as a human skill card - it definitely fits in that realm.
