• Raging Battler is the best tokenless racial skill in the game. Go for it. • I don't love the Soulstone. • Healing Hand Mace is sweet. If you don't have one, pick it up. The rest don't matter unless you don't have them.
What Flax said. More Shielding Tokens are good in some farming builds, and I think another Focused Healer would help if you want to run 2 vamps. Much depends upon your gp reserves.
Can somebody sell me on Aegis Of The Defender? I've seen talk on the forums about how it's one of the better shields, but I don't see the appeal, especially compared to Slippery Shield, which I already have in multiple. I'm not sure whether it's worth the 500g, which is a significant chunk of my savings. Any thoughts?
Slippery Shield works for its owner. Defender's Block works for any character of your team, and wizards have no shields. Aegis is a great shield for a Firestorm team, having one priest and two wizards. Opponents will try to kill your wizards at all costs. So, the shield is well worth 500g.
I need an advice on Novice Stoutness. Which skill would you use for a Firestorm party? This one or something different?
It's not that good. The yellow token should bring something besides a Weak Chop as the third card, and the block is okay but really only good in the scenario Ector depicted (although is that even good?). A Firestorm party desperately wants to draw Resistant Hide and should play as tight a deck as possible so as to increase chances of drawing said card. I tend to pick up some back-up armor on my boots and save the Dwarf skill for Perfect Toughness, which also acts as back-up armor and draws you cards.
Right, a trait would be much better than the Weak Chop. But even in its current form the shield can be played, and I would buy it. Can you name something better? This is the only item with two Defender's Block in the game. Unfortunately, I don't have Perfect Toughness Actually, it's more rare than most of the "rarities" alas Would you play Novice Stoutness if you wouldn't have Perfect Toughness, or would you prefer something else?
I only use Firestorm in SP, but my choice is Charging Battler. Toughness, Hardy Mail, and Charge to attack or get out of range works pretty well for me.
Lol, my firestorm farm team is 3 elves, and it is actually very useful when I need to fall back ahead of enemies (think lizards), that would overrun slow dwarves. I had to level up 3 elf wizards for one of the challenges, and I ended up sticking with them. My 3 dwarf wizards are all level 4 (for some of the low level 1 hp challenges). Maybe I should get around to leveling them up...
My farm build is 3 level 4 dwarf wizards, but I've been meaning to level up some more so I have a team that can complete adventures (I use a 1/1/1 dwarf party for that now).
I have level 4 elf and dwarf teams in addition to my regular squads. I should probably get back to the challenges, but all I was getting were Rares, and I can do as well or better speed farming.
Got some goodies and decisions this week.. Leomunk's Kickin' Boots they seem bad next to any team run boots Uula's Whirling Robes They seem good but Tempest Robes seem just as good if not better and they are way cheaper Bertha's Big Clogs These seem like a no-doubt pick up. I dont have a pair, and these along with Lt. Buckwell's Boots seem like the best wizard tokenless in the game. Please correct me if im wrong. Crown Of Mad Eskin I have one already, but they seem awesome for a firestorm pvp build. Ive never played firestorm, so id love an opinon. Godtouched Spear Speaking of firestorm, this seems very good for a priest in a firestorm party. This along with Darkblood Glaive seems nasty. Untouchable Plate rounding out the items good for firestorm builds we have this guy. I already have Old Saint's Armor which seems nearly as good if not better so i feel as if this would be redundant. I would love to hear opinions on this. Thanks for any input you can give!
@Krodis - I agree with your analysis. I have Untouchable Plate, but I almost never use arrogant armor because I like Frenzy and the occasional Nimbus too much.
Get the clogs and you see the crown already in some kind of build, so get that one too. The boots and robes are both bad for legendaries, the spear is not worth 2 gold token and as mentioned, the plate is not very great for a cleric.
So, On the day Randimar brings me a Vibrant Pain. He also bought me Bleneth's Frenzy Tome Staff Of Embers Dorimer's Boots Naradoc's Boots Any of these worth farming for?
I wish he would bring that VP to me Looks like Randimar treats me a fool, bringing me one legendary at best and a lot of useless trinkets Trained Tactics - utter crap. What's the sense of Lateral Thinking? You spend one card and discard another just to draw a new card? It should draw two cards IMHO to be playable. Advanced Command - doesn't worth a token IMHO. Just one good card with two normal movement cards. Bertha's Big Clogs - this one is good for Firestorming, going to buy. Cudgel Of Healing Light - looks like a good weapon for a Firestorm cleric. Healing Hand Mace is better, but I don't think that spending all yellow tokens on weapons is a good idea. Mace + Cudgel would be the best. Draining Dagger - seems like a good weapon for a vampire priest. All good cards just for two blue tokens. I'd like to hear your opinion on Mind Worm, though. I currently consider it very strong but short-ranged; it should be accompanied with a lot of Impenetrable Nimbus'es. But a vampire priest should come close to his enemies, so the Worms are welcome. Quigley's Cap - the largest mystery for me. Does it worth playing and where? I guess that a Firestorm cleric should have as much armor as possible, and this helm may be the best... or not. Raging Rock. Oh yes, that insane skill. Yes, I know that it's great, but who really plays it? Can you spend a token on your warrior on it? Looks like I will finally buy it and play with two Lochabers and Rageblood Dagger, hoping to compensate for lack of mighty attacks with Blind Rage Ravenna's Incense - tokenless, but only one good card here. Savage Plates. Crap. Staff Of Freezing Fire. I have two and that's enough, thanks. Staff Of Immolation. Three short-ranged attacks... Not sure whether this really is worth two tokens. Tome Of Pain. I doubt I'd play this even tokenless. Unholy Cudgel. Isn't playable IMHO. Your opinion is welcome, especially if it differs from mine
Staff Of Embers is great. I'd use it with firestarter for my triple wizards build. And nowaday many people run with Combustible which makes Ember Burst even more effective.
Nice item. Twin Mass Frenzy is good, Savage Curse can be used as coup de grace. Anyway, the only item with triple Mass Frenzy requires a yellow token, so you may use this just to save on the token. Probably the best fire staff in the game. I have one and would happily buy the second Nice boots for a wizard or cleric.
