I would appreciate some commentary on this setup and whether or not I have it right or if anything needs changing. I've never played a 3 wiz deck before, but I'm interested in trying every viable build to see what I like the best. If I had more Staff Of Winter I would use them in place of the Frosty Staff. I think Cone Of Cold is not such a liability when running 3 wizards instead of some melee classes though, so it could work better to use frosties.
    Thoughts?

Any particular reason for going with Solid Rock over Perfect Toughness?

Yes, I had thought about Perfect Toughness, and I decided to go Solid Rock since all 3 cards replace themselves with another card, and i really hate to draw rusty armor. Parry is a good substitute for the second copy of Toughness, and it has certain advantages like not being discarded by Winds Of War(neither my own nor my opponent's) hits, frost encumbers, or other things that do damage but have a deeper purpose than just the damage they do (such as moving you around or encumbering you). However, it does leave me weaker against Firestorm decks. I've only faced 1 firestorm team in my last 30 games or so, but I was playing other decks, not this one. These wizards are big on trait cycling and thinning the deck down to the main control spells, like frost encumbers, Winds Of War, and Path Of Knives. Solid Rock helps me cycle cards faster and, to me, is better in any situation where you're against teams with melee attacks, which are the majority of what I see.

So happy to see people converting to Solid Rock. Makes me feel useful.

Of course, since I started running 3DC yesterday, I've been running Perfect Toughness... and it makes me feel like a giant troll on top of being the largest sellout in the history of this game.

Thanks for the links, Susurrus, I have been looking for a guide like that. I use the level 17 adventure farming build by SLG in campaign and it works very well. I lack a 3rd Trembling Staff, so I instead changed that wizard to Staff Of Blazing Sparks and Staff Of Winter with a Sensate's Ring and Lt. Buckwell's Boots to compensate for the 2 tokens used on the second staff. She's not as consistent since there aren't as many traits, but otherwise I would have to use a Staff Of The Inferno instead of the Trembling and I don't like the idea of Firestorm without healing.

I like what SLG said about Perfect Toughness and I agree with this analysis: "Perfect Toughness will help you stay alive in many difficult situations. Downside is that it also has the worst card of the build: Rusty Armor. A good alternative would be Solid Rock which is better in many situations but also worse in others."

Have you tried Sub-zero staff? Maze isn't good but I like to have more one type of encumber, so I can encumber up to 4 easier. Sometimes it's nice to have that option, to encumber elves or to encumber nimble strike warriors. I use 2 Staff of Winter and 1 Sub-zero staff in my 3 dwc team and I have 3 staff of winter available but i prefer to have one more type of encumber.

Titan is right. Having a few Freeze mixed in with all of those Frost Jolts isn't a bad idea at all. It makes sense if you are running three wizards, anyways. In all other cases I would be much happier with Frosty Staff.

Yeah, Jade303 that's good just in 3 dwc teams, in teams with less wizards you should use Frosty Staves.
