So... another wildly-successful f2p game (TF2) makes tons of money off of what is, essentially, playing virtual dress-up. The CardHunter visual style doesn't seem terribly amenable to this sort of mix-and-match fantasy, but would it be possible to add more functionality to skins, such as trading? Personally, I would love to have the possibility of a novelty guild skin that I could purchase and give to everyone in my guild. Also, instead of pizza, more novelty skins could be given away a tournament prizes. Heck, you could even set up some kind of monthly quest system that unlocks a special skin for accomplishing a set of achievements. I like the idea of paying for suitably-fancy cosmetics because it doesn't affect core gameplay at all, and because I'm sure everybody else is vain like me.
Would love love love this. On a related note, I need to get the vampire elf skin to my minions in order to boost their vampires' win rates...
When you take multiple copies of the same figure into battle, duplicates get different colouring. It would be really nice to have some control over this, although obviously tricky to do without allowing players to defeat it's original purpose of disambiguation.
One simple way would be to have the first char in the party use the A coloring, second one uses B, and third uses C. If they're all the same figure, the result is the same as now (but a little less work for the client since it doesn't have to check for duplicates). But if they're different, you can rearrange them until you like the colors.
I am so taken aback by your concrete certitude that I daren't dream of inquiring about corroborating evidence. I fear you might take an interest and become curious, and we know how curiosity affects cats. You're simply too amusing to lose at this stage. Taxidermy is an option of course, but even with servo-robotics it just ain't the same.
maybe make it that the chests would have a low % of droping a speacial locked chest, and the only way to open then would be with a key that would be sold by pizza (and maybe a insane large amount of gold) maybe those speacial chests could have: skins, pizza, gold,normal itens (epic+) or speacial itens that could only drop this way etc
A chestlet... I like this. I don't see myself buying anything unless different colours/clothes gave minor bonuses (25% chance of +1HP in a ranked match or something similar), but I see some people would be interested in dress-up and Blue Manchu earning more money would benefit all of us.
