I use Firefox for Card Hunter but I use IE for some other things. When I delete my cache/cookies in IE, it clear my Card Hunter cookies and details from Firefox and I have to re-enter my login info. It's only CH that is effected. I don't understand why my deleting IE files is having this effect on CH within Firefox?
Have you checked that the "Remember Login" option is on when you log into Card Hunter with Firefox? Maybe the re-entering is caused by it being off? Just an idea.
Is it possible that IE is deleting the Flash save files? That seems to be where ChardHunter is storing your login info. (If you want to see the files for yourself, search your harddrive for a directory called "live.cardhunter.com".)
Yep, that'd be it. Cached flash data is stored per machine rather than per browser, so clearing it via IE will clear it for Firefox as well. I wouldn't be terribly surprised if Chrome handled this differently though.
Thanks for the info, Kalin (and Farbs)! I actually had to search for "game.cardhunter.com" as that's the web address I play the game from. I found the folder in C:\Users\<your Windows user name here>\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\ANB9J3WW\game.cardhunter.com\client\CardHunterWebApp.swf
It appears to. Not only is the data not cleared when clearing other browsers, the Task Manager process shows as "chrome.exe" instead of "FlashPlayerPlugin***.exe".
I guess I will switch to Chrome for CH and then I can delete files to my heart's content while CH is safely locked away.
