The main thread is huge, and I just want to poke at bits of data end experiences. Please post things like builds and awesome stuff here.
For the first map, I used a 1/1/1 Unholy Wellspring + Demonic Power build. It's not terribly good if you know what's coming, but I expected to surprise my opponent with a fistful of +3 spells. The warrior would then go and clean up anyone left over.
For SLG's "The Contest" map, I used three identical dwarf wizards. Basically the hope was to freeze out two of the three opponents before they could attack, and sacrifice the third. A little bit of control, via WoW and TK, and Wall of Fire for kills. (Ideally, I hoped to get one wizard in the middle, and then just freeze out the opponent.) Cinnabar Ring made an appearance to counter Arrogant Armor and Resistant Hide.
Awesome stuff: I lost in the second round to Codefive after his warrior's Unreliable Block caught my killing Frost Jolt buffed by 2x Arcane Aura. The warrior then proceeded to bludgeon my wizard to death and camp victory for the win. I shut out Flaxative in the first round after surprising him with 6x +3 spells on turn three, after a Wellspring and a Demonic Power, plus a buffed Warrior sporting 2x steps and 2x powerful hacks. Took out his warrior and Earmuffs, then camped victory square for the win.
Great idea for a thread, there must be some super stories out there. My first matchup was the one nightmare scenario I'd hoped to avoid: A serious 3 control wizard deck opposite on the first map (I decided against running that build myself due to the time limit in a potential mirror match). I had *2 seconds* left on the clock at the end, passing my 7HP priest frantically on the lava-covered victory square. Not even enough time to say gg, but one of my most memorable finishes ever!
I was rooting for you after that, I have not been so handily handled in any Card Hunter anything in months.
