Rate my Randimar's Rarities

Randimar hates me for the third week in a row.
Back to farming. If something good shows up in the shop, I'll be able to afford it.

 

I'm lucky with treasures lately, 2 legendaries in 3 days! (<5 matches per day)

So now I'm thinking about buying Kazmir's Staff this week and maybe Wlakwa's Boots. Others like Luke's Iron Hand (wtf?!) are much less convincing for 2500 gp.

 

The boots seem to be very popular, not so impressed by the others.

 

Mine currently has Luke's Iron Hand just an inch away from the same-token-cost-and-2000-gold-cheaper Ring Of Appropriation, lol.

 

The ring goes on the hand, of course. It's cheaper so you can get one for each finger (well, three of them anyway).

 

Nimbus Blade & Sturdy Armor

Opinions? Buying them would put a serious dent in my gold balance

 

They seem pretty good, but I guess it mostly depends what are you using now and what you need them for. I do use my own Sturdy Armor all the time - it's especially useful at lower levels when one Reliable Mail can make a huge difference to damage taken. And obviously it reduces friendly Firestorm damage from 6 to 2.

Nimbus Blade looks good also but with 2 golden tokens it has a lot more limited range of usefulness - you can't even equip it in adventures below level 14.

 

If you MP, Nimbus Blade is pretty nice.

 

Wenham's Leather Coif - is this any good ?

 

Team sprint is godly but I don't think item is worth the 2.5k gc

Oddly earlier this dropped http://wiki.cardhuntria.com/wiki/Items/Major's_Helmet but i didn't get it cauz it was in the clubbers box. so i was surprised i got the legendary, but it doesn't seem much better than the epic version, which is weird.

 

Some legenaries are lousy. It has to do with card rarity, and some rare cards are pretty worthless.

 

It also has to do with what level the item is. Most of the best items are right before switching to the next level of token cost

It's worth noting that level 18 items probably won't be that great after some more levels are opened up (as they're the first of their token tier).


I do most of my farming for level 6, 8, 17, and 18 items.

so many good things on randimar's this week....

Dark Drew's Mace - people mentioned it's good for sp bar none for low level farm. but to me looks like it has 2 buffers which you can't use on yourself, so it would seem to me that is to buff another player, like an all priest vamp group, or a balanced priest/warrior/wizard group. But low level farming i opt for the 2 wizards and a priest, all dwarves build, so i wonder can i still make use of this mace ?
Darune's Dagger - doesn't really strike me as spectacular compared to other choices. 2500 g for this seems to put me off.
Smoag's Bucket Of Pitch - is good for mp i reckon, but 2500 g hm......
Apprentice Insight - has dodge and movement, and cost a single blue token. seems good for elf, especially a warrior elf. But i don't use a elf warrior setup, and my elf wizard she already has a movement skill although not with dodge.
Apprentice Tactics - i already got a better one than this for human
Mindsplinter Staff - this looks like a good combination for my firestorm/volcano staff builds. i'm very tempted to get it.
Noral's Cleansing Relic - this seems to be for a specialist build that over utilizes volcanos. too specific a strategy build for sp/mp, also i think there are more reliable strategies out there. so it's clearly not my thing.
St Ulrich's Bones - will make a buff tile for all your characters, and has a martyr on it, and has cleansing ray just in case ? this seems very good especially for mp. definitely a strong contender card to get.
Torching Staff - i already have one of these. i guess its good for those drawback sp modules, but i don't do them.
Vigun's Blessed Blade - yes it's good but, not really high on my priority to get since i own 2 of them already.
Xander's Boots - good to add more dps power to my wizard. But she is already using Vira's Boots which has protection and is tokenless. i need to weigh this carefully because it also requires a gold token
Acrobat's Aegis - good for sp drawback, but i don't do them.
Apprentice Toughness - meh
Azure Boots - already have 3 of theses
Benefactor's Charm - good defensive item, but i think there are better cards out there.
Buckler Of Protection - already got 3 of these
Chit Of Choking Smoke - already have 1 of these, i guess it can be useful for some sp modules, also in mp. is a situational i guess.
Corpselight Charm - this is good but requires a gold token. may be tight on tokens in MP to use it, but should be fine for SP. however i already have 2 St Vigus Medallion so i don't think i need to buy this do i ? seeing as i already have 1 of this already.
Crusty Helm - already have 1 which i use for sp. sometimes for mp when i'm tight on tokens.
Defensive Buckler - seems good for drawback but i don't do drawbacks.
Dependable Mail - as the name implies it dependable and tokenless.
Focused Cleansing - meh
Focused Healer - i've seen some healers do some crazy stuff with the cantrip this card does. but i don't know if people spend a gold token on this, or use a cheaper variant which i suspect they use instead.
Focused Piety - already have one of these.
Focused Teleportation - already have one of these
Gray Blade - seems good for drawback especially the team heal. but on the fence for this one.
Greasy Tome - tokenless and has mass frenzy. good for drawback, but i don't run a full warrior team so probably not useful to me.
Over Sized Pick - 1 blue token, and some good dps, but they are full off risk involved. very skeptical about this one.
Pearl-handled Glaive - 2 gold token. seems pricey.
Prickly Boots - interesting but i already have one of these.
Quickling Robes - interesting but i already have 2 of these. and besides my wizards uses a firehide which is probably better ?
Rageblood Dagger - i already have 1 of these equiped on my dwarf warrior. do i really need another ? people seem to think this is hard to find, so i'm wondering i should buy now a spare ?
Shielding Token - 2 nimbus for the cost of 1 blue token ? I'm sold on this.
Storm Circlet - i think i'll get this because tokenless with a firestorm. good for very early sp farm.
Superb Insight - is good but not sure if i need it.
Surging Battleaxe - looks nice but in no rush to get it.
Thornhill Sword - looks alright for a chop build, but in no rush to get it.


So i got a budget of 3764 gold what should i get ? becauze i'm thinking of getting out of this list the

Shielding Token and Rageblood Dagger are a steal at 100g. Dark Drewg's Mace is pretty nice for a no token.

Buckler Of Protection could be good for 1hp quests (with some reliable mail).

I use my Dependable Mail a lot.

also i just found a Gloomthirst legendary. So already having a Greyworm Mace and Duality Mace there is even less need for the dark drewg's mace. But then again it's tokenless and probably pairs nicely with my Vigun's Blessed Blade for the lower sp module farming. So still useful. I'll definitely still buy drewg's if i don't find it after todays sp farm.

seeing i buy the shielding token, is there really much need for st ulrich's bones ? or this a recommended item for MP ? Because i definitely envision people using 2 shielding tokens rather than a gold token st ulrich's bones.

And is that Mindsplinter Staff even worth the 500g for sp farming ? It's a gold and blue token requirement and is lv13 ..... hm....

my wizards already have

2 x Staff Of Inferno lv 3, tokenless
Staff Of Pain lv 10, 2 blue tokens
Staff Of Glowing Coals lv 10, 2 blue tokens
Staff Of Blazing Sparks lv 18, 2 gold tokens


So i guess as a aoe staff, it could replace the staff of blazing sparks because of the lesser requirements. soi is good, but i try to use it for the much lower sp modules, because of the debuff that doesn't work too well for higher sp modules. So what do you think ? is it worth getting ?


for the mail i already use Highbolt Jerkin and Hawlic's Glowing Shirt. i also have Emperor's Plate and Bulging Cuirass

 

I would go for the Bones if you have extra gold to spare. Bless is a really nice card.

 

but i just checked my priest mp. she doesn't have any gold tokens to spare.

2 are used by weapon slots, another for slippery shield. and another for mail of the martyr. so if i do get it, i won't be able to use it :/ or is my priest build wrong to begin with ?
