I've also gathered data over a longer period about level 17 adventure loot from many runs of "CardStock II Secret Preview" battles 1 and 2 and also "Lair of the Yellow Dragon" battles 1-3 and a little bit of "Dungeon of the Swamp King" battles 1-3. No one has reported a difference between the loot drops of different same level adventures coming from the same kind of chests so I lump them all together when collecting data.

Adding all of the loot numbers so far in this thread together we get the following:

These are the most reliable figures we currently have for the chances of getting an item of a certain rarity in a common single player chest. So for example, we now know that the chance of a legendary dropping when farming common battles is 0.2 % or one legendary per 500 items dropped. They are pretty rare, all right.

Note that the above figures are based on the assumption that the rarity percentages are the same for different level adventures. We don't know that for sure yet. There might be some more complex interaction between the item level and rarity and the adventure level and maybe even some other factor(s) influencing this. I feel the above figures are still useful as an average yardstick when evaluating loot drop issues. We have data from 11 different adventure levels so it should be a pretty good average of the total single player loot system.

QFT - I've been following this thread closely. I'd contribute, but I know from past experience with other games if I farm same map a billion times (or even just 100) I start hating the game, the universe and everything. So I'll just cheer the mighty farmers from the sidelines.

If we add this result to Andrew's and my earlier runs from here the numbers look like this:
    Code:
    Lv	Andrew	Jarmo	Jarmo2	Jarmo3	All	%
    3	3	18	11	12	44	4,4 %
    4	2	13	13	14	42	4,2 %

    9	2	7	10	7	26	2,6 %
    Tot	101	300	300	300	1001

If we compare the numbers after 701 and 1001 dropped items we see that the level percentages are still shifting as much as 1.9 percentage points. Even 1001 drops don't seem to be enough to stabilise the numbers. We need even more data to get an accurate reading. I wish I knew what the margins of error are for different values of n in this case.

I'm not going to include these results with the others as the level has a special loot table. Some observations: The treasure % wasn't 50 as advertised but 40.7 in this run (with an error margin of several points, so let's see what happens with more data). I got treasure worth 556 gold. The regular items were worth 323 gold so the whole haul came to 879 gold.

I didn't record how long it took to do this, maybe around three hours. So this session produced a little under 300 gold per hour. I used a level 8 Firestorm Dwarf Wizard party with 27 Firestorms, 7 Ember Bursts and 1 Volcano, no trait cycling other than the 2 Combustibles on each of the 3 Staff of the Infernos the party carried.

I just realized something. When the F1 log is set to "verbose" mode it shows messages listing the item IDs looted from an opened chest. Using a saved log file and the Equipment.csv file it would be possible to write a piece of software that would automatically collate the loot data of a farming session. Now it's just a matter of performing the work of writing the utility SW.

Hmm, maybe an application already exists somewhere in the open SW universe which could be easily adapted for this purpose. File parsing and data collating are very common tasks. Surely someone has already created something that would require minimal adjustment for Card Hunter loot analysis and presentation.
