After reviewing a handful of suggestions in the thread linked below, I was able to complete about a dozen of the quests. While they're certainly challenging, and the need for such a challenge exists, I still feel that luck plays a much much larger role than skill. Which might be fine, except it costs too much to buy a new hand. Emo OP: The 1 HP quests are pretty rough. I've tried a handful of decks and strategies, but the result is generally the same. I've even utilized level 1 characters to minimize deck size. At the end of the day they're just flat out too tough. I'd suggest removing the level cap and simply starting each character on 1 HP. If you're concerned about players that may have already beaten some of these quests, I'd suggest awarding them with a different color medal. A red medal to signify the mission was beat pre-nerf on bananas mode. Just my thoughts. I've completed every quest aside from 33 of the 36 1 HP quests. I'd love to earn the rest of my medals, but I fear I've not got the gold, the time, or the patience. On a final thought, good God I love this game...
That's awesome. Any particular strategy or build you found that work best in general? Any tips or advice would be appreciated.
There is some discussion here: https://forums.cardhunter.com/threads/tips-for-the-only-1hp-quests.3107/ For the lowlevel quest a firestorm/kiting build generally works. The mid/high level ones are either firestorm + lots of wall of stone or priests with stacking lifesaving block and impenetrable nimbus and later on toughness.
By the powers of Gray Skull, you guys are crazy. Perhaps its time to consider new quests for the shops, the taverns and treasure chest shops.
Bump! All finished. See the link in OP for advice. I'd still be alright if the cap was removed and you were simply lowered to one HP. It wouldn't help much, but it'd give some wiggle room if you could fire off a couple of Team Heals. Lowering the cost of a revive for these missions would probably be alright as well. Thanks!
