I am looking at the market right this second, and there are 2 items with different names, but they have identical cards attached to them. They are: Blazing Skull & Charged Opal. Both items have Hot Spot times 2, and Acid Blast! Don't know if this is intended, but I have not seen this before in the store! Now I am finding duplicate items in the Armory, and Kyburz's store as well! One other note, I was able to buy The Deadonomicon & Black Cat Buckler from Kyburz's shop, not the Halloween store! I thought I saw a few other items in Kyburz's as well. Definitely a bug! The Blazing Skull & Charged Opal are the normal item, and the Halloween variant!
Okay, judging by your last line, you do know that "duplicate cards" are intended, correct? http://www.cardhunter.com/2013/10/happy-halloween Therefore the only question is whether the devs want this content to appear in non-Halloween stores.
This is intentional. They are the new Halloween items and their cards are identical to old items on purpose. As the Halloween items have been entered into the general item pool, they show up wherever items show up, in loot drops and shops. The Halloween shop is a place where you are guaranteed to find one copy of each of the special items, but it is not the only place they are allowed to show up. I'm pretty sure of this because I cannot imagine the devs not being aware of what will happen once the new items are in the item pool, it's such a fundamental part of the system. It cannot be an oversight.
Well, I just bought the Dreadonomicon from The Armory and it is still available in the halloween store. So I wasn't able to duplicate that part of your account. But I can confirm that halloween items are appearing in the normal item shops.
His remark "One other note, I was able to buy The Deadonomicon & Black Cat Buckler from Kyburz's shop, not the Halloween store!" can also be read to mean that he bought them from a shop he wasn't expecting to find them, not that he wasn't subsequently able to buy them from the Halloween store.
I'm wondering, no? They did say that the stuff was meant to drop from treasure chests though, so maybe not a really big deal?
