well, been playing xcom on ironman mode, dont name your characters or have any attachment to them, just a shame the multiplater is broken, the best turn based game for a while

Putting off Xcom for a while for the bug fixes. In the mean time I'm dusting off my Magic DOTP 2013.

I downloaded the game: cool, but it requests friends to start races (you can't simply join a game... Too bad).
I added you as friend: if you want add me and spread the world with yours: I enjoyed very much playing Formula Dè with my friends, time to play online!

LF2 is awesome. Also, if you are into Naruto at all, someone made a really great Naruto game with the Little Fighter 2 engine. I need to relocate that one myself then I'll post a link if anyone is interested.

I havnt liked ANY of the player mods done too it, they always just go overboard with the new skills and characters, and while i liked the concept of LF3 i hate the new engine they use, LF2 just feels perfect as it is to me. Seems to of been really commercialized now though, ads all over it, toolbar tried to sneak in, new music stuff =/
    Freeze all the way.

I just checked out A Slower Speed of Light from MIT Game Lab. Yeah, you read that right Massachusetts Institute of Technology. It won't keep you occupied for too long, but this is extremely cool. You also might learn something while you are at it.

for avid tcg/ccg gamer like myself, this is old news. For the rest, urban rivals latest attempt to restore their playerbase entering closed beta phase (prolly a similar timeline to Card Hunter) is at http://beta.fantasy-rivals.com/fr/beta/.

Highly doubt its tabletop, the french aren't into tables too much...

Here's a game that might tide you over if you have an iDevice and want something turn based and dungeon crawly.

Battle Dungeon just came out for iOS. It's a universal app of turn based fantasy combat in a dungeon environment against either AI opponents or online against friends or random opponents. Looks to me alot like the game D&D Tactics that came out on the PSP a long time ago, and it is priced at $5.

    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id393552285?mt=8

I can't check it out until at least Friday, so if anyone less broke than I would like to tell us how it is, then by all means, please do!

Edit: They pulled the game from the app store. Apparently, 90% of their server load was from people that pirated the game, so they didn't want to keep it up just for pirates to play on it. And since even the single player mode requires connecting to their server, the whole game is unplayable now. They are offering refunds, though.

    This game just came out:
    http://forums.tigsource.com/index.php?PHPSESSID=8edaeb9c7fa1dc96662b7145b9bfd434&topic=29644.0

It was made for a competition on the TIGSource site with a sports theme. This one is called Footbrawl Quest and it mixes football with randomly generated dungeon crawling. You start with your team on one end of the dungeon and you start with the football, and the object is to take it to the other side and score a touchdown. You can get items from chests that your guys equip, and there are several classes that you play as. It's alot of fun, has great production values, and I can see it being very replayable.

was okay but not anything special also had a few really annoying thing or bugs happen but that is to be expected 5.5 out of 10 playable for sure but there are better games out there

I happen to love it. I've played it twice already and I'm addicted. I lost both games, and that just makes me want to play more. But I'm a huge fan of dungeon crawlers and fantasy/futuristic sports games, so this is like two great tastes that taste great together for me. And it was made by one dude for an amateur competition, so you have to keep that in mind when playing it.

Well my previous comment was about how i personally feel so if you love it that's awesome for you. The fact that its made by a single guy for a amateur competition doesn't make the game any better or worse. But so none gets the wrong idea i think that is deeply impressive and he performed well above expectation if you simply compare it to other games with the same amount of time and personal.

I should also add that i can see playing this against friends to be a lot more fun especially on skype or at a lan.

Yeah, you are totally entitled to your own opinion on it. I was just giving mine, not trying to argue yours or anything.

But you know that every once in a while, you come across a game that seemed to have been made for YOU, with your specific tastes in mind? Footbrawl Quest is one of those games for me, as I'm sure Card Hunter is for most everyone on this forum, including me, lol.

I'm probably damaged from playing a zillion dungeon crawlers and bloodbowl to be fair and living up to my standard is unlikely even for a AAA when it comes to a combination of those.
